“Very good pub food and drink”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

Good size portions at reasonable prices and good choice of real ales. Large lockside seating area with plenty of boating activity - no fencing so care needed with young children. Been here a few times over the last few years and food quality is of a good standard with salad still fresh late in the day, Will be eating here again on our next canal trip in a month's time.

“Fantastic”
Reviewed 16 July 2014 via mobile

I have been to the new inn several times and each time the food , drinks and service were excellent.my last visit was a business lunch with clients from abroad , they were impressed with the location , standard of food and service and the exceptional value for money , and after meeting the chef/ owner to congratulate him of the high standard of food we were amazed that there were not a brigade of chefs but just himself and a kitchen assistant keeping up with the demands of a very busy pub.

“Unwelcoming”
Reviewed 14 July 2014

Decided to take my daughter for a spot of lunch on a lovely sunny day so thought somewhere by the canal would be nice. Maybe not.
I have never seen such a miserable pub owner in all my life, not a smile the whole time we were there and as for the food well, choice, there is none and what pub cant swap a jacket potato for chips, incredible! Wont be returning!

“A fabulous Sunday Roast dinner”
Reviewed 29 June 2014 via mobile

Decided to eat at The New Inn rather than cook on the boat. Luckily managed to get a table as they were very busy. Ordered 2 pork dinners which arrived very quickly and hot with roast and mashed potatoes, cauliflower cheese, 3 veg, Yorkshire puddings, crackling and apple sauce. Thoroughly enjoyed it all. A truly gorgeous Sunday lunch. Now awaiting dessert.
During our time there nobody fell in the lock and children were well supervised by their parents... which is how it should be

“misarible moaning people.”
Reviewed 25 June 2014

OMG I never read anything so stupid in my life how the hell can you fence off the canal there's 1000's and 1000's of miles of it. the canal doesn't have anything to do with the newinn it belongs
to the waterways and the benches are not on the edge of the canel . it is child friendly if the parents are responsible parents. Muppets like you who enjoy trying to ruin peoples business please get a life.
