When compared to the adjacent camp sites this is good value. There's acres of space and it's close enough to the race circuit. The facilities were strained during the Grand Prix weekend but they just about handled it. There's no bells and whistles with this place but it's a reasonable, functional place. The only negative was an issue with the water on the first day which stopped the shower use. Hopefully this is a one off, it was particularly unhelpful timing for such an issue but it must be related to the volume of people. I would recommend and reuse if I was going back.

Lee, Thank you for your honest review

I have to just respond and say the reason we had a problem with the Showers was ENTIRELY down to Anglian Water, our local water company, who despite a massive investment in their infrastructure before the Grand Prix had a major water failure in thier system and hence the stopped sending any water down thier pipes - exactly at the time it was most needed! Much to our upset and frustration I can tell you.

This did mean that for a period on your first morning we unfortunately had to shut down the showers, until Anglian Water fixed the problem. We were lucky enough to get just enough water to keep the toilets flushing in our main block (from our onsite water storage), which became the prority

This was entirely out of our hands and we were not the only campsite affected. All the campsites our end had the same problem. We have never had a problem before and not since either- the MOTO GP went fine.

Fingers crossed this was a one off, if it hadn't have been for the water shortage our facilities would have coped fine - indeed we have many more loos than are required by the issued Campsite Standards!

Perhaps see you again if you come back to Silverstone in the future.

Kind regards
Caroline

Stayed here for the MotoGP weekend and so pleased we did. The location is perfect for the track - about 10 minutes walk to get in. We walked into Silverstone village too, which is about 1.5 miles.

The campsite is pretty huge so there's plenty of psace. Toilets and showers are basic but clean and plenty of loo paper! There's no shop (and no food stalls that I saw) but coffee and bacon sandwiches etc available in the mornings.

Nice and quiet here also, no trouble anywhere that we saw. You can choose any spot you like, there aren't formally allocated areas so you can just choose the kind of spot that suits you. You can park your car right next to your tent which is really handy.

Location is also lovely - we drove up through Buckingham so saw all the countryside and avoided the horrible queueing on the A43. Would definitely recommend this as an alternative to queueing for hours to get in and out of the track on raceday.

It's great value for money - we paid £35 for camping and parking for the Saturday & Sunday nights - compared with the £20 that Silverstone itself wanted for parking alone. Would definitely stay here again if we come back next year.

Would say very family friendly also - nice atmosphere in the campsite and everyone very chilled and having a good time.

What an amazing week!! This camp site is fantastic! The staff are amazing and extremely helpful!
The showers are hot, toilets are clean! We had a brilliant time here!
Everyone is respectful of the noise and others around them! We will definitely stay here next year.
Only one down side, there are a lot more facilities for the men than women. There needs to be more showers and toilets for the women! See you next year Dadford

Hi Hayley,
Thank you for your lovely review, we do try hard to do our best and good reviews make it all worth while, thank you. Hear what you say about ladies showers... generally we have more men on site hence there is double the showers for them.... one trick is to use the shower in the disabled toilet...! Look forward to seeing you next year, thank you. Have a happy winter! Caroline

We stayed here for the grand prix 2017 first time for both the grand prix and the camping. Our friends have parked here before.. It has been the first time they have had electric hook up and it was brilliant. We were right at the back of the campsite which did prove to be a bit of a walk but when you take into account into how quite it was at night it was perfect. All staff were very nice and helpful. Have already asked them to put our names down for next year. See you soon

We camped at Dadford Road over the weekend. Firstly it is a great location to the circuit. A maximum of 10 minutes walk to the entrance.

It is great value for money, with hot showers and toilet facilities. It is best to get in there early as there are queues from 7.30am.

If you are looking for a good value for money campsite close to Silverstone then this is ideal. It is also good for getting out after the grand prix if you want to go in the other direction.
