Audrey and Tom are a lovely couple who are very welcoming and did everything to make our stay perfect. We had a great time in Alnwick sightseeing and it was lovely to come back to a peaceful b and b. They had excellent food and i had the best night's sleep I'd had in a long time! Highly recommended!

This B&B is situated within Alnwick and is an easy walk to town centre, castle and gardens. Staff are very friendly and informative about the local area. Food was excellent and the rooms are beautifully appointed. Parking was also easy as there are spaces immediately outside.

Exactly as advertised, this is a perfectly located, meticulously kept, and lovingly run B&B. Set on a quiet side street, but only 7 minutes walk from the amazing castle (where they shot the Quiddich scenes from Harry Potter) and the famous gardens. The owners are delightful people who are at-the-ready to help you plan your activities - or give you complete privacy. Rooms are medium sized, and nicely decorated. All the little extra's are there (eg. a hot water bottle, electrical outlets, free wifi, etc.) Can't recommend it enough! Tip: if you love books, the best bookstore we've ever seen, anywhere, is 4 minutes walk: Barter Bookshop (an old train station remade into a bookstore).

We have just spent a wonderful weekend here celebrating my partners 50th birthday. Tom and Audrey were fantastic hosts and there guest house is simply magnificent. We could not really fault any aspect of the trip. Tom even booked us a wonderful dinner location for the birthday meal. Cannot recommend this place highly enough will look forward to a return visit.

My husband and I booked into the Greycroft for a weekend at the end of Feb 2010. The Greycroft is situated in the middle of town but set back so quiet too. As soon as you walk in, you get the feel of 'home from home' warmth and cosiness. The room was immaculate and the bed sooooooooooo comfortable. There were "little extras" available which made our stay even more enjoying. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners (Tom & Audrey) and they made us feel very welcome, were very helpful and made our stay very special. Breakfast was fantastic (with several choices) and Audrey makes the meanest home-made porridge. I would recommend anyone visiting Alnwick to stay at the Greycroft. Thanks Tom & Audrey from Bryan & Gwen from Liverpool.
