We stayed in a three bedroom cottage at Ellingham Hall, although it is much more spacious than word cottage suggests - more of a house really. Very nice set up with a bathroom per room and comfy beds. The kitchen had an aga which meant it was toasty warm, at times a little too warm but then opened the doors to cool it down a bit. The chickens that were wandering around the grounds did try and come in, I think they thought we might feed them. We were at Ellingham Hall for a wedding and it was great. The staff were fantastic as was the venue and we really enjoyed playing the big games they had outside.
The slight negatives, couldn't get WiFi although there was a network connection it was too poor to connect. While the baths were nice and big the showers were disappointingly small and with the overhead shower head it was very hard to shower without getting your hair wet and didn't have soap in the bathroom. Overall though a good weekend and lovely wedding in a good venue and a comfy, well equipped cottage to stay in and recover after the wedding party. Didn't even get to use all of it as never quite made it to sit in the conservatory.
