“New Year in Alnwick”
Reviewed 7 January 2017 for a stay in January 2017

The front door opens into a warm and welcoming house in the beautiful town of Alnwick. Very well equipped throughout with lots of useful information on where to go and what to do. Parking on street easy and free. Morrisons is a 3-minute walk away - castle is just around the corner. We were lucky with the weather and explored Northumberland on foot every day of our visit - the vistas are stunning. Many of the castles and stately homes are shut this time of year but we could admire them from the outside as we walked past on our hikes.
Will definitely go back as so much still to see!

“A lovely family friendly place”
Reviewed 6 December 2016 for a stay in December 2016

Just got back from a lovely long weekend staying with family. We stayed here and could not fault it. Things such as having stair gates installed and the availability of both a travel cot and a high chair meant that this place was perfect for my two small children.

Will definitely be using this place again next time we come to Alnwick to visit family.

“Lovely Cottage”
Reviewed 23 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

A roomy cottage to a good specification
Roomy kitchen with dishwasher etc. All the little extras - dishwasher tablets , soaps etc.
Good choice of games, music etc for a rainy day. Nice tv too. A few tots for the kids.
Main bedroom ok with good shower.
Well located for walks to town centre and trips to local attractions.
Sadly the fire in the main room was broken so it was not as warm as we would have liked at this time of year ( November).

Hi Christine - thank you for the review and I'm pleased you like all of the little extras. I do apologise about the fire and it is due to be replaced very soon. The central heating had been set to run all day and the boiler turned up so hopefully it wasn't too cold. I hope the wedding went well! Kind regards Yvonne

“Clean, central, cosy lovely property.”
Reviewed 23 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

The cottage was beautifully clean and had some lovely welcoming touches which we appreciated... fresh scones and a bottle of wine left was gratefully received after a long journey. Fantastically equipped. Great location next to Alnwick Castle and Gardens, bit of a drive to the coast but didn't matter, really beautiful area. Great cosy property with a fire. No garden for the dog or children to play in but we went out every day so didn't bother us.

“Great holiday cottage”
Reviewed 2 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Had a great weeks holiday at Percy Cottage which is located in Alnwick near to the Castle and a short walk to the main shopping area in the high street. It was easy to book and Yvonne the owner replied promptly to all our questions that we asked before booking. The accommodation was modern, spacious and clean with everything we required and more. Home from home! Parking was no problem, we managed to park across the other side of the road from the cottage, but there was also plenty of parking round the corner. There was an enclosed garden/patio at the back of the property, safe for children or dogs. Alnwick itself is well situated for visiting the coast or in-land, we managed to visit Amble, Seahouses, Bambrugh, Holy Island as well as Cragside during our stay but still lots more to see and do. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely considering going back again.

Very pleased with this holiday let, it was everything we hoped for. Well positioned very close to Alnwick Castle, and just a short stroll into the town centre for the pubs and restaurants. We ate out every night and found the standard of food excellent in a number of different restaurants. The house itself was very comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen; two relaxing living rooms and excellent showers. We were lucky with the weather, but had it been poor there were plenty of videos/DVDs available also. Alnwick itself is a good base to explore the delights of Northumberland, and we would certainly return to this cottage and the area in the future.
