Quite the nicest B&B we have stayed in, like staying with family. Rooms excellent and very quiet, very modern but stylish - breakfasts could not be bettered. Very close to Anwick and plenty of places to visit nearby. If using sat nav get guidance from Philly Bell as they try and take you in the wrong side down the A1. We will definitely be coming back next time we stay in the area.

Room Tip: There is no fitness centre but I could not cancel it! There are only three rooms but they are all go...

Yet another blissful, relaxing stay at Redfoot Lea. I feel so lucky that I have been there 8 times now! Every time is perfect. Philly's welcome is always warm and genuine and the room is lovely. The decor is fresh and calming and the additional little touches such as the delicious, moist home-made cake and the wonderful rosemary water make you feel pampered. A pristine bathroom, powerful shower and tasteful toiletries all add to the feeling of luxury. Breakfast- whatever you order- is delicious and perfectly cooked and the plum compote is outstanding! As for Philly and Andrew- their hospitality is wonderful. Conversations with other guests over breakfast reveal many people are repeat visitors and rightly so! It's a delightful place!

Well here we are, 8th visit to Redfoot Lea and I can only continue to sing its praises! To start with Redfoot Lea itself, the Mint room is delightful, from the tranquil feel of it to the luxurious toiletries and let's not forget the yummy home made cake and refreshing rosemary infused water. Onto our hosts, Philly and Andrew, well I could not be made to feel more at home anywhere. Philly produces the most delicious breakfasts day after day (plus the aforementioned cake), continues to recommend places to visit, eat and drink and is basically delightful. Andrew complements Philly with his humour and stories, such that they will be certain of our next visit. I can't wait to return! Finally, brill location for getting out and about in Northumbria. What not to love.

It is 7 years since we first discovered Redfoot Lea. Never, in any one of those years, has the quality of accommodation or hospitality shown to guests slipped. This year was, again, as clean and fresh as when we first stepped through the front door. Breakfast is excellent and there are other welcoming culinary touches such as delicious homemade cake each day when you come home.
The property is located very convenient to the A1 just on the outskirts of Alnwick so you are ideally situated for visiting Bewick, the Scottish Borders, Edinburgh, sea side at Seahouses etc. and there are also a number of properties worthy of a visit. One could easily spend a week “touring” but at the same time sleep every night in the same bed as the area has so much to offer. It is extremely likely you will want to return for further visits.

The owner is lovely and the house is beautiful. Good recommendations for local food and things to do. Really soft bed. Free tasty home made (?) cakes and biscuits in the room. She brought us a fresh pot of tea on arrival.

A beautiful property, a convenient situation and everything provided for the visitors needs. The guest-house is a converted stone farm building, built to high standards with spacious accommodation which has been nicely fitted out. The hosts are most hospitable and ensured that we were provided with all that we needed, and more.

Room Tip: All rooms are comfortable.

We stayed 3 nights at Redfoot Lea and found the accommodation superb and the facilities everything you could wish for.
Not only was our host Philly very helpful with advice on local places and restaurants etc., her welcome and interest made us feel at home and able to fully relax in her wonderful home.
The breakfasts were particularly good especially the fruit compote.
We wont pass Alnwick in the future without a stop there if we can.
