Description: The Treehouse is one of the most magical and unique restaurants to be found anywhere in the world. It’s high up in the treetops, with a roaring log fire in the centre of the room and trees growing through the floor. Most importantly, the locally-inspired food is delicious. Always featuring local fish and seafood, meats from Northumberland’s farmlands and other regional specialities, the Treehouse Restaurant menus highlight local quality, taste and change throughout the seasons. There’s a great wine list, a good range of beers and regular live music. For a family dining experience that you’ll all enjoy, a great night out with friends or a romantic dinner for two, there’s nowhere quite like it. We always recommend booking ahead for lunch or dinner.

Very good, well presented food in a setting that sometimes makes you think you are in Lord of the Rings (see other reviews for description)

Service is efficient and pleasant and the wine list very good value

This has to be one of the loveliest tree houses in the UK and a restaurant to boot. Very cleverly constructed so that most tables have a feeling of privacy so it would readily suit a romantic interlude. The menu isn't huge but the food is excellent and reasonably priced. The entrance is ramped so that access for wheel chairs has been provided. This is a highly recommended must see but do book if you wish to be sure of a table!!

Even though we live hundreds of miles away, this is our favourite restaurant ! Our second visit (this time with friends) was better than last time. Staff friendly and efficient with a lovely welcome drink in the potting shed to start it all off. It's great this time of year with the long evenings and the birdsong (we heard a Nightingale for the first time in ages)
Could do with a draught ale or two,we were offered only lager or a bottled bitter.
It like eating in Bilbo Baggins' house, very novel.
Even though we're in our fifties ,we had a great time on the walkways out the back !!

Booked a few days before and it was nearly full for dinner so book early. The setting most unusual but beautiful with subtle lighting and the imaginative use of wood in seating, tables and decoration. The service and attention to detail were excellent and the food superb. Fillet steak and guinea fowl were cooked to perfection and washed down with a reasonably price Shiraz just about leaving room for puds and coffee. It is a great shame we live 250 miles away, but we would highly recommend the Treehouse Restaurant for its very, very good food, service and ambience.

A winter slap - up evening meal around the huge central log burner, when the frost outside is bitter is a wonderful experience.

We took friends and family there for Christmas Fayre and had a great time.

Before the meal we had a pre - prandial drink in a garden shed themed room. Then into the main dining room. Food and wine were excellent as was the busy atmosphere.

We were entertained by the lovely North umbria pipes .... one of my favourite instruments.

The service is incredibly friendly and warm. Altogether a memorable evening. So good in fact that we took some more friends there a couple of days later!

Thank Xeta
