Had a lovely stay but service in hotel and restaurant needs attention as poor compared to others we've stayed at. Have eating at this chain before and was disappointed with staff and evening cleanliness . . Totally opposite to breakfast

Only stayed two nights, but would have enjoyed four!. The location of this hotel right next to a lake is without question one of the best. Plenty of well lit parking, a huge restaurant with pleasant and friendly staff to greet and serve you. The young lady on reception when we checked in was so helpful in finding us a room overlooking the lake. No lift at this one, but only a ground and first floor anyway!
the hotel is about one hour's drive from Holy Island and 45 minutes from Bamburgh Castle. Try the coast road on the way back, it's views are brilliant.

Room Tip: A lake view is perhaps the nicest.

I suppose this particular hotel had a lot to live up to follow great stays at premier inn london county hall, yes, it fell short. I was really upset with the price I paid £197 for 2 nights in comparison the marriott was only marginally more! However I expected it to be as good as other premier inns. So upset that the breakfast was done to order from the kitchen, no buffet. This meant it you fancied another spoonful of beans or some more tomatoes it was tough, that was your lot! To add it's probably no surprise that first morning it was cold and the second it was completely wrong. However on the plus side staff and great surroundings. Book this place by all means but go room only so many places nearby that do a better breakfast.

I've stayed at about a dozen different Premier Inn's and you know what you're going to get and I never expect too much location wise.
The staff here were all helpful and efficient, the room was clean and comfortable with a really good TV. The breakfast in the Brewers fayre was good too.
We arrived after dark and were stunned in the morning to see this huge lake in front of us with loads of swans and geese. It is actually located in a really nice spot which is very peaceful and I thoroughly recomend it.

Lovely views, decent grub and good facilities, all in a friendly atmosphere. Easy access, excellent parking. Lots of wildlife and footpaths around the lake too, ideal setting for taking some exercise.

Nice hotel pleasent and polite staff with a picturesque location. On this trip I was disappointed with the staff response to one incident in the attached Brewers Fayre but usual high standard from Premier Inn, it is pricey though

I usually think Premier Inns are a fairly safe bet, and this one is a good one. The family room had 3 decent beds (which is very welcome but rare!) a super-strong shower and a nice large TV on the wall. Great breakfasts, and even an indoor AND outdoor play area for the nippers. Every member of staff was smiling and made us feel very welcome. Two nights at about £150 in total (including breakfasts for all four of us) makes this great value too.
