Stayed three nights in a disabled room. All facilities were excellent except the bath - normally they have a ~40cm long plinth behind the bath so that a disabled person can slide up the back of the bath onto the plinth. There was even long grab rail to help one do this, but one could only slide up and then fall on the floor! So I could not bath. Heating system seemed to blow cold from time to time. Sweetener for tea/coffee was not the one recommended for diabetics (sucralose). Only one hand towel for a double room is inadequate (there were two bath towels, but could not use bath - as above).

Room Tip: If disabled, check whether bath has a plinth at back to aid getting in and out

This Premier Inn seems brand new, or else it is newly refurbished. Either way, it was very up-together and all of the facilities were very good.
There is a large lake on the edge of the car park, probably a flooded quarry, which has a large variety of waterfowl including 30+ swans.
Lots of people turned up in the early evening for the meal deal in the adjoining restaurant. We ate there and it was good value and acceptable food for the price paid. There is a food theme each night. Monday was a Mexican buffet and we had a good dinner.
Two minutes later we were back in the room to enjoy the room and get a good night's rest.
Certainly one of the better Premier Inns.

First time visiting this hotel. All staff were friendly really made us welcome. Room was clean and bright. Breakfast in morning was brought to you. Which was really nice and set you up for the day. The reception staff were also very helpful.

Had a lovely stay but service in hotel and restaurant needs attention as poor compared to others we've stayed at. Have eating at this chain before and was disappointed with staff and evening cleanliness . . Totally opposite to breakfast

Only stayed two nights, but would have enjoyed four!. The location of this hotel right next to a lake is without question one of the best. Plenty of well lit parking, a huge restaurant with pleasant and friendly staff to greet and serve you. The young lady on reception when we checked in was so helpful in finding us a room overlooking the lake. No lift at this one, but only a ground and first floor anyway!
the hotel is about one hour's drive from Holy Island and 45 minutes from Bamburgh Castle. Try the coast road on the way back, it's views are brilliant.

Room Tip: A lake view is perhaps the nicest.

I suppose this particular hotel had a lot to live up to follow great stays at premier inn london county hall, yes, it fell short. I was really upset with the price I paid £197 for 2 nights in comparison the marriott was only marginally more! However I expected it to be as good as other premier inns. So upset that the breakfast was done to order from the kitchen, no buffet. This meant it you fancied another spoonful of beans or some more tomatoes it was tough, that was your lot! To add it's probably no surprise that first morning it was cold and the second it was completely wrong. However on the plus side staff and great surroundings. Book this place by all means but go room only so many places nearby that do a better breakfast.

I've stayed at about a dozen different Premier Inn's and you know what you're going to get and I never expect too much location wise.
The staff here were all helpful and efficient, the room was clean and comfortable with a really good TV. The breakfast in the Brewers fayre was good too.
We arrived after dark and were stunned in the morning to see this huge lake in front of us with loads of swans and geese. It is actually located in a really nice spot which is very peaceful and I thoroughly recomend it.
