“A fabulous place to stay”

My wife and I had a truly wonderful week’s break in May staying in Button Cottage. It is safe to say that this is the best cottage I have stayed in; a pretty aspect, extremely comfortable, well equipped, finished to a very high standard. Tracy provided lots of useful information about th cottage and the village. The stay was topped off with wonderful weather.

We would definitely recommend Button Cottage and will certainly look to book again.

“Perfect base for local exploration!”
Reviewed 1 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We rented Button Cottage at short notice (2 days before arrival). Having stayed at a number of similar cottages across the UK we have a good idea of what to expect, and Button Cottage exceeded those expectations.

It was immaculately presented and beautifully finished. The location is also worth a mention - just a few minutes walk to a cracking eatery(Salt Water Cafe), pub (Craster Arma), local shop and an excellent beach.

While it is not large, the clever layout and high ceilings make it feel spacious than I'd anticipated, and the outdoor space - a furnished courtyard with BBQ, and front porch/veranda - provide some private places to sit and relax.

The owners were also fantastic - friendly and helpful throughout.

We would definitely return to Button Cottage.

“Beautiful cottage for 2”
Reviewed 18 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Button cottage is situated in the centre Beadnell and is well equipped for all your needs. Beadnell is a beautiful seaside village. It is very handy for the Craster arms which serves quality real ale and has a lively quiz night worth checking out. Salt Water Bestro is the place to eat, but you do need to book in advance.

“Lovely romantic retreat”
Reviewed 24 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

This little 2 person hideaway is perfect for a romantic getaway. It's situated within a few minutes walk of a lovely unspoilt beach and even closer to really good pub the Craster Arms, which had great food and live music. It's ideally situated for exploring the surrounding attractions such as Alnwick and Bamburgh Castle and the village is unspoilt and quiet. Perfect for getting away from it all and relaxing, but not the place to go if you are looking for lots to do. The accommodation is newly finished and fitted out to a very high standard. Everything is beautifully arranged to make the most of a small space, and it is equipped with everything you could want. The bed and lounge furniture was very comfortable as was the lovely double ended bath tub. The underfloor heating took a bit of working out, but was lovely once we got to grips with it. We were particularly impressed with the amazing lighting!
The only thing that would have made it even better would have been a little welcome pack with a few basic groceries.
We had a lovely stay, and enjoyed watching the beautiful dove that was trying to nest inside the lantern over the front porch. Sadly our comings and goings kept disturbing it!

“Beautiful, cosy cottage!”
Reviewed 17 November 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We stayed in the cottage for the first week of October with our dog. The cottage is really impressive, Tracy has thought of everything - it is compact but very well designed and beautifully finished. The cottage is tucked away in a cul-de-sac and feels very private. It even has an outside heater which was really lovely! The local pubs & cafe are a few minutes walk away, and 2 amazing beaches are also close by, the nearest approximately 5 mins walk, the other approx 15 mins walk. The bed was extremely comfortable, the open plan bathroom was actually ok, I was a little surprised about the open plan toilet however we soon got used to this and worked out a little 'system'!- the bathroom itself is beautiful and I took full advantage of the bath. We had amazing weather during our stay and I would definitely recommend staying in this lovely cottage.

Beautiful little cottage, ideal for 2 people. Spotlessly clean, decorated and furnished to a very high standard with lots of care and consideration put into little extras. Close to all amenities, and great for visiting the beautiful Northumbrian coast. Would recommend and would return.
