“Just like home only closer to the beach!”

Longlands Retreat is a brilliantly located 3 bed bungalow set on a small estate made up of mainly bungalows less than 5 minutes walk to the beach. It has been very tastefully decorated and accessorised and has a fully working kitchen including microwave and dishwasher. There is a single bedroom with bunks, a double, a twin (that will convert to a king) and there is also an additional sofa bed. The twin/king has a door to the back garden and is part of the converted garage. The kitchen/diner has a glass dining table with 4 chairs (&2extra), and a fridge freezer and high table with 2chairs. Outside there is a raised decked area with table and chairs which catches the sun most of the day. The drive can hold 2 cars, there is a DVD player and films, books, PS2 and various games to suit all ages including monopoly and 2 TV''s. Beadnell is a small beach village situated on the coastal route between Berwick on Tweed and Alnwick. There are 2/3 places to eat, a chip shop and a shop, there is a lovely harbour and the beach is both sand and pebble and excellent for dog walking.
We would definitely recommend this property especially as it is dog friendly.

“A quiet, comfortable house in a lovely part of England”
Reviewed 3 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There is lots to see and do nearby but also peaceful walks along quiet beaches from the house. Howick Hall Gardens, a boat trip to see nesting puffins on the Farne Islands and a drive to Holy Island were all great experiences. The house was clean, well-equipped and perfect for a group of adults.

“Excellent well equipped property”
Reviewed 10 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

A well equipped and clean property situated just 5 mins from sandy beaches in Beadnell.
The village itself has one shop and a very good pub, and Seahouses is a mile and a half away. The beach is open to dogs all year.
Well situated for the beautiful Northumbrian coast and hinterland

“Child friendly accommodation near the beach”
Reviewed 26 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We booked a Monday to Friday stay at Longlands Retreat (reasonably priced) with our grandchildren. The weather was fairly typical for October so we appreciated the excellent central heating and constant hot water after days out sightseeing and on the beach. There is a lot to do within a short distance of the cottage and after horse riding, miniature train trips, castle visits and rock pooling, we found it easy to relax in the comfortable sitting rooms. Food was no problem as the kitchen was very well equipped (good size fridge freezer etc).
Overall, we had a great time here and would happily return as every effort was made to make us welcome. The neighbours were friendly and helpful too.

Perfect location...2 minute stroll and your on the Beach...We wanted for nothing in the Bungalow...Well presented...Spotless and fully equipped...With loads of little extra's...The Playroom Snug went down well with my 2 Teenage kids...Stacked full of Board games...Dvd's and Console gaming...The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and very private for out door dining...I did a lot of research before picking Longlands...I had a look at the others on my shortlist...Some larger...Some smaller... when I was on this Holiday...Longlands is by far in the best location...very private and totally top value for money...If you go to Beadnell...You wont be disappointed with Longlands Retreat and consider having a late night BBQ on the beach... Priceless...
