“Great Pub”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

Returned to eat at the craster again this year. Really enjoyed it as always. great beer garden dogs are allowed in the restaurant too. had the cod and the meat pie and also scampi. kids chicken nuggets also good can't fault the food, plentiful and value for money. very friendly staff. Barman from last year (tall with blond hair, sorry didn't get his name) was very friendly and helpful at finding us a suitable table etc.
only thing i would say is maybe have someone taking food orders separately from bar orders to speed things up.

we stayed in Beadnell from July 19th to 26th & ate here twice. The food is amazing my husband had the cod & chips & I had home made meat pie both were delicious hot & freshly cooked & the cod was massive. The 2nd time I had scampi & my husband the burger again both were fantastic. The staff are friendly & helpful & we didn't have to wait too long for our food considering that both times it was very busy. I wish this place was nearer to where I live I would eat here every week

We visited the Craster on a couple of occasions whilst on holiday last week. The food is amazing Seafood to die for but the haggis and black pudding starter was out of this world The staff were lovely and I particularly like the banter between them all. Yes on the first visit we had to wait quite a long time for a bowl of chips but they were very apologetic Great place

Stayed in Beadnell for a chill out beach holiday with our dog.

I had already searched out dog friendly pubs in the area and at a ten minute walk from our holiday cottage the Craster Arms was an obvious choice for a beer and evening meal.

The Saturday evening we arrived the pub was packed and the bar area full of dogs with their owners already tucking in to some delicious food. We didn't think we would be able to get a table with our dog, but one of the waiters said he would see what could be done. True to his word he found us a table asking if we minded sharing and we were pleased to do so.

The food was amazing and plentiful and the staff were attentive and friendly. It was a really good start to our holiday.

We tried a bigger, posher pub nearby one night and were disappointed that the quality and service didn't measure up. After that we learned our lesson and stuck with the superb food at the Craster Arms.

My husband had the pie one night, the gammon the next and then the cod on our final visit and enjoyed everything and he is a very fussy eater. I had the curry, fish special and scampi and would recommend all of them.

I thoroughly recommend the Craster Arms and will definitely go back there next time we visit the area.

we visited the Craster Arms for the first time this weekend the pub is lovely and staff great I ordered fish and chips was told I would have to wait 45 minutes but yay it turned up in 10! it was the biggest and crispiest piece of cod I have ever seen and it was totally delicious, lovely white flaky fish and crisp beer batter well worth the money, we also had lunch there which was a sandwich and chips that was also excellent, will definitely eat here again if we are up that way. Highly recommended +++++

The Craster is a busy village pub, which has managed to retain its character and charm. The food is home cooked and good. The staff are friendly and welcoming and you can take your dog into the bar. An ideal watering hole.
Rooms are well appointed and spotless.
