We visited a few times last week as we were staying in the village and the options were rather limited! However, we were not disappointed. We ate in the garden a few times and luckily the weather held fine. We also have a dog, but there is a dog area in doors. All our meals were great. I saw someone say it is pub food, well I wish we had a pub around here that did meals like this. Top notch

On our first visit to the Craster Arms, we left disappointed having spent almost ten minutes to establish that there were no tables available. Following the crowd, we returned several days later for early evening dinner (5.30pm) and managed to secure a table in the beer garden. The menu is traditional "pub" favourites, but does every meal have to be served exclusively with chips and no vegetables?! All orders appear to be taken in the far corner of the bar which creates a bulging scrum of patrons trying to place food and drink orders, confirm their reservation, and be bull-dozed by serving staff emerging from the kitchens in the same location. Is there no-one working there who can see the simple solution to this problem and implement it?

Food is pricey, unimaginitive, but otherwise modest for the fayre.

Called in at the much acclaimed Craster Arms. Place was like a zoo im afraid. Bar staff were very uninterested , pub interior had kitchen mist blowing through it carrying kitchen smells throughout the establishment and the beer garden was a riot of poorly behaved children and smokers disgarding their tab ends willy nilly.....does anyone really need this?.... i certainly dont.!

Absolutely love this pub, amazing food the lamb shank & the chicken in chorizo sauce are a MUST!
Great price, gets very busy on a Saturday so best to book a table.
Dogs are welcome. Great choice of food & drinks. Very clean and lovely helpful staff.
Will be returning when we next visit Beadnell.

Returned to eat at the craster again this year. Really enjoyed it as always. great beer garden dogs are allowed in the restaurant too. had the cod and the meat pie and also scampi. kids chicken nuggets also good can't fault the food, plentiful and value for money. very friendly staff. Barman from last year (tall with blond hair, sorry didn't get his name) was very friendly and helpful at finding us a suitable table etc.
only thing i would say is maybe have someone taking food orders separately from bar orders to speed things up.

we stayed in Beadnell from July 19th to 26th & ate here twice. The food is amazing my husband had the cod & chips & I had home made meat pie both were delicious hot & freshly cooked & the cod was massive. The 2nd time I had scampi & my husband the burger again both were fantastic. The staff are friendly & helpful & we didn't have to wait too long for our food considering that both times it was very busy. I wish this place was nearer to where I live I would eat here every week

We visited the Craster on a couple of occasions whilst on holiday last week. The food is amazing Seafood to die for but the haggis and black pudding starter was out of this world The staff were lovely and I particularly like the banter between them all. Yes on the first visit we had to wait quite a long time for a bowl of chips but they were very apologetic Great place
