“unique cottage break”
Reviewed 8 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

This was our second long weekend at this unique garden apartment near Bamburgh.

The cottage is the ground floor apartment of the larger Warren Lea Hall. The entrance is through the walled garden which is lawned, has mature fruit and other trees and a small stream running through it and a small pond full of wildlife, bees and butterflies.

The garden is yours during your stay and the family access it from the main house.

The apartment is alone one flooor, contains a twin bedded room, small but well appointed kitchen with dining table and 4 chairs, a small sitting room with a shower/ toilet, the double bedded room has an en suite bathroom.

A welcome gift of flowers, fresh milk and biscuits was a nice touch and nothing was too much trouble,

Broadband is available and is best accessed from the sitting room,

Bedding and towels provided and were spotless, generous big towels were great.

Kitchen was well appointed with a selection of cooking pots, dishes , crockery and glasses,

The venue is beside a busy road but the garden is safe and private.

It is a few minutes walk to the sea and about 5 minutes drive from Bamburgh so central for travelling and avoids the busy Bamburgh village. There is a bus service outside the house but check out the timetable.
