We stayed with Pam and David just after the previous reviewer. There is little more we can say that hasn't already been said. But if you have high standards and search for the best in accommodation, friendly service and food then the only place to stay, in Northumberland, is at the Granary in Berwick. Exquisite! Thankyou, again, Pam and David.

An outstanding B and B in a town that's one of England's historic gems. Luxurious immaculate rooms. Gourmet breakfast. Charming hosts. A treasure of a place tucked away close to the town ramparts and the river with resident seals.

Yes, it is all true! A gem of a place that truly deserves the 5* rating. So beautiful - I felt like I was stepping onto a movie set.
We stayed for the final night of our coastal cycling trip. David and Pam are wonderful hosts and they clearly love their work. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt warmly looked after.
Breakfast was a complete dream! There was an amazing choice, accompanied by the most beautiful fruit salad I have ever seen.
We will definitely be back to take in the delights of Berwick and luxuriate in the Granary for longer next time. Highly recommended.

We booked to stay at Granary Guest House over Easter after reading the wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor - everything that everyone says is so true - this is one of the best places we have ever stayed - it truly is exceptional.

Pam & David are excellent hosts, very professional from the first moment we contacted them to make the reservation right the way through until we said a sad goodbye on Easter Monday.

We booked the Dream Suite and we know why it is named the Dream Suite - it is a beautiful bright, calm room with excellent facilities and an amazing bathroom.

The breakfasts are unbelievably good and exquisite. The fruit platter and homemade ginger syrup served as a starter is off the scale and as for the presentation - it deserves 20 / 10. The main course selection is also wonderful and the variety a wonderful change to the normal B&B breakfasts. We sampled the pancake's, the porridge, the trout and the full Scottish and each one was amazzzzzzzing and filled you up for most of the day. The addition of David's wonderful humour when serving the breakfasts was an added bonus.

The standard of cleanliness is second to none - you will not find a spec of dust anywhere in this venue.

We also took advantage to book a couples hot stones massage - David along with a fully trained colleague Dawn undertook the massage and we cannot emphasise how good they both are - we would strongly recommend everyone to book a treatment - the treatments are so relaxing and done to a very high standard - again this is another unique option available to guests at Granary.

We have stayed in many wonderful hotels and guest houses all around the World and the Granary really is up in our top 3 - you would not be disappointed if you booked to stay - we will definitely be back and would recommended it without hesitation to everyone.

We ate out at Queen's Head (just around the corner) which was a wonderful experience - very good food. We also ate at El Taperio which is located just a few steps across the road from Granary - it is Spanish / Moroccan cuisine and well worth a visit - the food and service excellent.

To summarise - if you are planning a trip in and around Berwick on Tweed book and stay at Granary - you will not be disappointed a real jewel in the Crown of Northumberland - I am not sure there are many B&B's anywhere in the world that offer this high level of service and standards. Well done Pam & David you have created a very special place.

Kind regards

Stayed at The Granary for 3 nights and what a find! Absolutely spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and hosts Pam & David couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Fabulous breakfast with home made treats too. We'll definitely be staying again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

We've just stayed at The Granary for the fourth time and I must say I never tire of this place. David and Pam are wonderful hosts, so friendly and thoughtful with their attention to detail second to none from the minute you step inside this beautiful property. It is simply stunning, luxurious and immaculately clean and I can fully understand why it's rated no 1 in Berwick.

Their award winning breakfasts are just divine and made with top quality organic ingredients served in their elegant dining room.

We can't wait to return.

We first stayed at The Granary when we visited Berwick for our anniversary last year. This year we wanted to stay at The Granary for our anniversary, so we went to Berwick.
The place is simply superb. It's immaculate, beautifully decorated and everything is exactly where you would want it to be, and such good quality, from the furnishings to the complimentary body lotion, we genuinely can't praise it enough.
The breakfasts are to die for, we have sampled most of the menu between us over our stays - my husband said the eggs benedict with smoked trout was the best breakfast he had ever had, and the porridge I had on our last day made me not want to eat anything else ever again - I do not know what Pam puts in it but it is simply divine.
Pam and David are fabulous hosts, friendly, warm and with an attention to detail in their home and for their guests that never fails to amaze me. Don't just stay here when you visit Berwick - visit Berwick just to stay here.
