“Perfect holiday home”
Reviewed 1 March 2018 for a stay in February 2018

Fantastic warm, comfortable house in a stunning location by the waterside. Beautiful beach a couple of minutes walk along the seafront. Close to town centre, but quiet, peaceful location with stunning views across the bay and out to sea.
The house was beautiful, light and airy and stylishly decorated to the highest standard .... we loved it! Thank you Katherine and Michael for a truly outstanding week.

“Modern Quirky Property with Superb Views”
Reviewed 21 January 2018 for a stay in December 2017

With 2 friends we booked the property over the New Year and were very impressed with the modern very well equipped house over 3 floors. The weather conditions were awful with lots of high winds and very cold conditions. The entrance is on the ground floor which has underfloor heating. When we arrived it was a little cool but after a few hours it warmed up and remained warm and comfortable for the rest of the holiday.
The dinning kitchen is very well equipped with modern appliances and a relaxing sofa and resting area looking straight across the harbour.
The TV area is on a mezzanine layer and is very well equipped with a large modern TV and Blu Ray player with lots of DVD's of a wide range. There were two very comfortable lounging chairs but the area was too small for 4 adults to be comfortable watching the TV.
The first floor bedroom was large with plenty of storage and a warm and comfortable large bed with extra bedding if needed, The double glazing kept out the cold and wind noise very well and gave wonderful views across the harbour with ever changing tides. The bathroom had an excellent shower with a large area and plenty of towels.
The top floor, our friends said 39 steps upwards, which matched the film poster in the downstairs large utility/toilet room was large with an en suite bath and a relaxing area with sofa and TV and even better views of the harbour.
The property is only 5 minutes walk from the centre of Berwick with plenty of pubs and eating places. The opposite way was a 2 minute walk to the harbour wall with further stunning walks along the coast.
The property was in excellent condition and I would highly recommend it although we thought that it suited 2 separate couples socially better than ones which shared more leisure time.

Thanks very much, David, delighted you enjoyed your stay - and managed to keep warm! the underfloor heating is a small miracle once it gets going. I take your point about the seating for the mezzanine tv - however, just to point out that there's ample comfortable seating for four with the second tv in the upstairs sitting area. As a conversion of an old building (it was a kiln for the maltings) the house has its quirks!
Thanks again, Katharine

“Splendid house in a stunning location”
Reviewed 23 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

A delightful house at one end of a large building which has been brilliantly converted into a number of individual, quirky properties. All the rooms look out to the sea, and the views and the light were amazing.

“Wonderful Waterside Holiday Home”
Reviewed 22 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

A truly exceptional place to stay, for us this is the holiday home that all others will be judged by. Wonderful to watch the changing tides, light and wildlife from the large French windows. Quality, comfort, and so much space, pleasing in every way. There were no 'Buts' it was simply perfect, we did not want to leave! Owner was really helpful and thoughtful. Deposit was returned promptly. Berwick is a great town with much to recommend it as a holiday base. Lovely art centre, cinema, galleries, great wholefood store, micro pubs and friendly people. Lovely walks from your doorstep, and all of the Northumberland coastline a short drive or train journey away.

“Stunning waterside home”
Reviewed 18 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

A beautifully appointed and well equipped house over 3 floors. Cosy but has large picture windows so very bright and airy. Perfectly placed to enjoy the coast, watching the birds and wildlife yet easy to walk in to town for pubs/restaurants et al. A walk around the walls is definitely worth the effort. Thank you.
