My husband and I visited here for the first time on 17th Feb for a Valentines dinner. We got a warm welcome and offered a drink before we were seated at our table, which we had pre-booked, which is advisable as it was a very busy Saturday night. The menu was sumptuous with a good choice. I opted for the seafood vol-u-vent with saffron sauce and my hubby had cucumber stuffed with blue cheese. The presentation was amazing and the seafood just melted in your mouth. Our main course was venison for my husband and fillet of steak for me. The venison was medium rare and was cooked to perfection according to hubby. My steak was medium and again cooked to perfection. In fact I’ve had lots of steak in many places but this has to be the best one ever it was so tender and very very tasty. There was a good selection of vegetable accompaniments. After a small rest we finished with a cheeseboard to share and coffee - it was the perfect end to a perfect meal. Garry, the owner, and his staff went all out to make our experience a very pleasant one. They were attentive but not obtrusive and even offered to organise a taxi home for us. This may have been our first visit but it will certainly not be our last.
