I found a room here at the last minute and was pleasantly surprised by my stay. Lynda was so friendly, and a fund of knowledge about Berwick's history and sights. The room and bath were clean and cozy, and breakfast was huge. A short walk from the railway station, and right around the corner from a lovely cafe/art store. The bus to Lindisfarne goes twice a day, but mind the tide schedule!

I have been to Berwick a few times and never really liked the place too much. Now I have changed my opinion.
The "Bridgeview" is very close to the town centre but absolutely quiet. No traffic noise. From the outside it looked unimposing and very small. But when Lynda stood in the doorway to welcome us we knew that we would have an above average experience. The room we had is really king size. Two armchairs infront of the windows a cup of coffee in one hand and a book in the other one - that's how life can be. You'll see the bridge(s) but don't hear the trains.
The bathroom is spacy enough, comfortable and perfectly clean.
The beds are of high quality, firm mattresses - all clean and nice.
The breakfast was of high standard, nicely prepared and arranged. Try the home made marmelades and jams! (One of them with Whisky)
Lynda knows lots and lots about history and provided us with useful and interesting information.
A little tipp: just over the street is a stair going down to the river. There is a bench after a few meters. Perfect place for some reading in the afternoon sun!
At Bridgeview you'll really get very good value for your money and a very friendly service.

Bridge View B&B was a lovely place to say for a night while visiting Berwick. I chose it because the price was very reasonable (£40) and the location was convenient to the station/town, but I got much more than I expected. My room was the single room in the back of the house. It was cozy and quiet - the perfect place to come home to after wandering around the city. It came with a kettle, coffee, and tea. There was a sink in the room, but I also had my own bathroom just down the hall. The room comes with wifi and it worked very well for me.

I had a breakfast in the morning of tea, granola, fruit, sausage, bacon, fried egg, tomatoes, mushrooms, toast, and homemade marmalade. Everything was very tasty and the meats were from a local butcher. Although my breakfast had meat, Lynda offer a vegetarian option.

In addition to the comfortable room and yummy breakfast, the B&B also has very friendly hosts. Lynda made me feel very welcome and was happy to give me suggestions for things to do in town and places to eat. She also knows a lot about Berwick and Northumberland history. My train didn't leave until 1pm, so Lynda very kindly allowed me leave my bags at the B&B between check out and my train departure. I highly recommend Bridge View B&B to anyone visiting Berwick.

What a wonderful place to stay! The room was a refuge for tired walkers and a refreshing sanctuary, conveniently located in this remarkable, historic town. Not least of its attractions are the hosts, Jack and Lynda, who are a font of historical information on the town and it's environs. Great breakfasts, locally sourced and artfully prepared. Fantastic whiskey marmalade and the best coffee we've had in a long while!

Room Tip: We had a room with a view of the Old Bridge.

A quiet street within walking distance of the station. Spotless b and b warm welcome, everything you need. A single room with bed, easy chair, wardrobe, mirrors, wash basin, TV tea coffee and biscuits. Next door bath and shower for sole use, lovely fluffy big towels, and a lovely box of shower gels to use. Duvet and comfy bed. Windows that open and overlook the colourful garden. The large family room at the front overlooks the Royal bridge it has a double and a single, chairs table, TV, tea and coffee facilities wardrobe, and en suite shower.

Everything is imaculate and they will ask you if you want milk and bring a flask of milk to you. The breakfasts are wonderful, full English if you wish and attention to detail, fresh juice, filter coffee or tea, fresh fruit and cereals. This was a 2 day leisure trip before going to

I have recently spent three days at this guest house and I must say it is a wonderful place to stay. Lynda and Jack are friendly owners pleasant ,and their attention to detail is excellent, If you are vegetarian then you have nothing to worry about as the breakfast was superb, and Lynda certainly knows how to fully cook an egg. The room was very pleasant, clean, and with a wonderful view of the Border Bridge.
I would recommend this guest house to anyone who is looking for sheer comfort and with very nice hosts.
Thank you to Lynda and Jack for a lovely happy visit,
