“Perfect!”
Reviewed 31 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

This property has been beautifully renovated and furnished. The views are amazing and the only noise is the sea outside. The lemon drizzle cake left for us was gorgeous. I cannot recommend this property highly enough and we will certainly rebook for our next visit to Berwick.

“Back for our second stay”
Reviewed 19 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

This is our second stay at this fantastic property. There are so many positives. Luxurious fittings and finishings. Supremely comfortable beds. Jacuzzi bath. Spectacular views. Homemade cake on arrival. Comfortable seating. Well located for local walks.

This is probably the best holiday let we have stayed in, and the only one we have returned to a second time. It is a real home from home, and that is not a compliment we would pay lightly. The owners have thought about just about everything.

We genuinely can't think of any negatives, large or small. An easy five stars in every respect.

“Everything we wanted and much more!”

Wonderful accommodation and setting with views to die for. It was amazing waking up to the sound of waves, and the sight of up to 28 eider duck outside our bedroom window! Spotlessly clean with everything you need and much more.....luscious home baked lemon cake on arrival, for instance.
Lemoncello up the road was far better than it looked from the outside and excellent value for money!
And Scotland only a few miles up the road. Farnes only a boat trip away.....
What more could you want?

“Perfect for a creative retreat.”

Think you can't afford this beautiful property for your entire holiday? Then why not do what I did.. rent a cheaper place for a week and get out and about, then tag on a short break here at the end for a creative retreat - and just stay indoors. One of my better ideas!

Relax in the jacuzzi, lounge about on one of the many comfy seats, and spread your work all over the lovely big dining table without needing to clear it away when you eat. Sit on the window seats and sketch the view, or just enjoy watching the tide come in and recede, and watch the many birds and their antics. There is a good library of factual and intelligent books to browse, and the mezzanine which is much bigger than it appears in the pictures. It has a table/desk with three dining chairs, a west facing window and plenty of headroom. Four people could easily have a drawing/painting session there.

The main living area is so spacious that I remained indoors for two days and did not get cabin fever at all. There are so many spots to sit and write that my biggest problem was deciding where to sit next! The property gets the sunlight throughout the day, and there are so many windows that it's bright enough to sketch when the sun isn't shining.

The property was blissfully quiet, sunny and spacious and I recommend it for any form of creative or social retreat. I can envisage coming back here not just for another end-of-holiday writing retreat, but also with distant friends that I wish I had more time to catch up with, and just staying in to talk, cook together, draw, paint, read, talk... and perhaps the odd bit of sightseeing.

Liked best: Time spent here had a different measure than the humdrum world. Interestingly this was mirrored in the complete lack of clocks!
Liked least: Having to leave and go back to work!

“Fantastic!”
Reviewed 13 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

Just returned from a weekend away in Berwick staying at this fantastic townhouse. The house is spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and contains everything you could need, and more. We were a party of six and found the accommodation comfortable and spacious. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived as, although we thought we knew what to expect, the photographs really do not do the house justice.

The location is great with fantastic views. An excellent weekend was had by all!

“Cant fault it!”
Reviewed 21 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

We have stayed in a lot of holiday cottages in our time but this is the most beautiful with spectacular views. The location is superb, quiet but central and on the door step of lots of walks. We also arrived to some lovely chocolate muffins. There is no question that we will be back at this lovely place (if we can get a booking that is!)
