The rooms are lovely and the food is even better. The location is perfect and there is lots of on street parking out front and in the public car park behind. Cyclists will appreciate the private back yard where they can leave their bikes and the fact that the local bike shop is right behind in case they need anything.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and professional. I couldn't recommend it more.

A big thumbs up Tarl & great to know you enjoyed your stay with us. I can appreciate that although you are transient cyclist it makes a massive difference where you can rest you weary bones, refresh restock & be ready for the next day. Fingers crossed we hope to see you again if your passing through this lovely cycling area.

Very friendly and helpful service. The Sunday lunch was delicious - big portions and creative choices. We really enjoyed our meal here, and they were so lovely to us, our kids, and our dog. Highly recommend!

Fabulous dinner for 8! Opted for the Queens head again on Christmas Eve and once again we weren’t disappointed.
Staffs attention to detail was tremendous from the moment we walked in, nothing was a problem even when it came to catering for two fussy kids.
A few of us had roast beef which was melt in the mouth and my wife went for fish & chips which she said was as good a fish as she’s tasted!
Keep up the good work, forget what the others are doing and stick to your winning formula!

Good hotel, ideally located near the centre of town. All the amenities you are likely to want were in the room and the breakfast was very good, cooked to order. A bit of noise came up from the restaurant on the first night of my stay, but it was the Christmas party season and it was all over by about 10.30. Parking not ideal - in a public car park 200m away, but at least it was free.

Many thanks for your constructive review Ian & pleased to know that you enjoyed your stay with us. I appreciate it's difficult to try & control Xmas parties but the noise subsided after 10.30pm so in truth don't think it's too late.
With being within the historic walls parking etc is limited so unfortunately I have no control there but there is a free car park in close proximity which helps. Hope to see you again all being well?
