We have lost count of how many holidays we have spent at Beacon Hill. This was our 2nd visit to Kestrel, a spacious, light and airy cottage, beautifully warm, with a very well equipped kitchen. We all enjoyed spending time in the pool, or at the gym, and at least 2 visits to Meg's Lake, down the hill. One glorious evening, we spent about 3hours there, savouring the unhurried experience. It truly is a complete delight to stay at Beacon Hill.

Beatifully furnished cottages in a rural setting with fabulous indoor pool, gym, beauty and relaxation facilities plus loads for the kids to do, all contribute towards a consistently wonderful holiday experience. The facilities are always being improved and upgraded - no signs of complacency setting in. Campfire suppers in the woods thrill the kids and adults alike - simple pleasures. Loads of beaches and things to see within an hour's drive too. Can't fault the place.

We are just coming to the end of another great holiday. This is the second time we have stayed. The cottages are so well equipped you really don't need to bring anything, this is a great help when you feel like you have so much stuff to bring when away with young kids. The essentials are swimming towels as the pool and spa has been a daily activity. There is so much to do locally even on a second stay and we are even thinking about coming back next year. Thank you Alun for creating such a wonderful family retreat that has lots to do what ever the weather.

Our 9th successive year at Beacon Hill and every bit enjoyable as the first. We continually find new walks and places to see in this beautiful part of Great Britain. Weather was not too kind this week but thanks to the leisure and spa facilities it did not dampen our spirits at all. The kids love this place, meeting up with old friends and making new. A fun and safe environment for them to run freely and enjoy the amenities. It reminds us of our own childhood when the pressures of modern life were not so great. Have stayed in many cottages over the years. All are of an excellent standard. Elm has a fantastic views over the countryside and hills to the West. We thoroughly recommend the site and are looking forward to our 'decade' next year.

Another fantastic week including special Queens Diamond Jubilee celebrations with the Robertson's(Curlew Cottage)weather not great but so much to do for the children it doesnt really matter if the sun doesnt shine,Tennis,Football,Trampoline,Swimming,Table Tennis,Pool,Table Soccer,Gym,Sauna,Steam Room,Jacuzzi-the list is endless, let's not forget the sausage sizzle as well.Meg's lake a great venue for the fisherman too.Views fantastic,20 minutes to the coast,10 minutes to the supermarket, the car doesnt really need to move very far, when you drive 40k+ miles per year its the perfect place to relax and unwind in a 5 star facility.Inside, the cottage is of the highest standard, everything you need and more. Some nice touches on arrival as well especially the Lemon Drizzle Cake!!!A special thanks to Alun and his staff who are always on hand just in case they are needed.Already booked!See you 24th May 2013.Stephen,Jill,Katie and Jack A.

I can't think of a place that I would rather stay. The facilities in the cottage were brilliant - really well equipped kitchen and super comfortable beds. The beech wood at the farm is so beautiful as is the lake with its families of Canada Geese. Lots of things to see and do close by. There is no need to drive miles to find places of interest.Admittedly the weather was perfect but I'm sure we would all have had a great time in any of the versions of summer we seem to get now. We had friends staying in other cottages on sight and they all loved it too. Thank you Alun and your team
