A very enjoyable one night stay. Booked in under an offer with Daily Telegraph Travel Hand-picked. We had a problem with noise from immediately below our first floor room when we first checked in - an extractor fan from the kitchen I think. However, we were moved to another room as soon as we raised the matter with reception - an extremely nice and quiet room (Number 16) on the ground floor overlooking the golf course to the rear of the property. Our evening meal was excellent, as was breakfast. Recommended.

Room Tip: Try room 16, ground floor in single story building near to the spa. A newer part of the property. Ov...

We have stayed at the hotel several times before and was going to try a different hotel on this trip but having looked at the alternative hotels decided to go back to Linden Hall ,the service was excellent from checking in to checking out . The only down side for me would be that you cant get a booking for a Saturday due to the weddings taking place at the hotel, or we would have stayed the Saturday as well if it had been available.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a Secret Escapes B&B deal, this proved to be excellent value for money. I don't believe you can get a much better location and in general the service excellent, attentive without being stuffy. We were in room 119 and perfectly adequate for our needs. Yes, if you wanted to be picky you could find fault but eh, these rooms get used on a daily basis by many people so obviously there will be signs of wear and tear but it was clean, the bed comfy and all the electrical equipment worked!
But,we stayed Friday and Saturday and there was a wedding on and is why I haven't given the hotel a 5 star and is due to the noise of the music from the function room heavy pounding music til well after 12pm and the service at breakfast on the Sunday was not quite as good as on the Friday. Finally, a pet hate of mine is noisy party goers shouting in the corridors. You could say that the hotel cant do anything about this but how about putting all the guests attending these functions in the same part of the hotel so as not to disturb other guests who arent perhaps as drunk!!!!
We are hoping to go again and would recommend to anyone but would suggest a mid week stay especially if you are looking for a totally relaxing break

We stay here once a year when exhibiting at the Antique and Fine Art Fair. It is always a pleasure as the staff are so very helpful and courteous. Rooms on the whole good and very clean. However i will say that the Restaurant this year was a disappointment. It was always a more sophisticated experience from the on site Pub. menu, different and interesting of high quality. So out of seven days we would eat there twice. However the menu is little different from the pub and not as well cooked or presented. No bread on the table and one has to pay for it. Pub food is very good, though limited menu..
Wine list has always left something to be desired. Very little European wines. The only French I would have had they had run out of. Not that difficult to have reasonably priced French Wine, preferably with a cork and not screw top. However the overall experience is delightful. Lovely grounds and attractive. Wood Fires and great Rooms to have a drink in.l

Room Tip: If you are two people make sure your not in a room where the double bed is under the eves. You coul...

Stayed for 1 night with a group of friends to celebrate a special birthday. The reception staff were welcoming and efficient and as our rooms weren't quite ready we went for afternoon tea and our bags were in our room when we'd finished. Our rooms were in the new part of the hotel overlooking the spa and pool area. Lovely spacious twin room and a beautiful new bathroom we couldn't have asked for better. Bathrobes and towels were provided and we had use of the pool and sauna area although we didn't have any spa treatments as we hadn't pre-booked and they were quite expensive. Evening meal was delicious although there wasn't a huge menu to choose from there was something for most tastes. The waiting staff were excellent and joined in our birthday celebrations by bring out a birthday cake with candles ( we took the cake with us) and singing happy birthday. The wine is expensive but it is in every hotel so you expect it. Full english breakfast the next morning finished off a fabulous break. The hotel and grounds were stunning and I would highly recommend this hotel you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Pillows were real feather and quite "crunchy" not very comfy you might want to take your o...

Stayed for 1 night on dinner, bed & b'fast with spa treatment - myself and 3 friends. We stayed 2 year ago and had a great time and pleased to say our stay again did not disappoint. The reception staff from arriving were very effecient and friendly. We stayed in deluxe exec twin rooms which were very comfortable and plenty room for all four of us to meet for glass wine (compliments of hotel - nice touch and much appreciated) Dinner in Dobson restaurant was lovely, the food of a great standard, staff and service first class. Breakfast lovely, great choice and again quality was first class. We used the spa and had spa treatment, I had a hour long facial by Jade, can say easily one of the best facials I have had - loved it!! My friends enjoyed their treatments also. We also found the staff in Linden pub effecient and friendly and went out of their way to get us scones (due to the fabulous dining in Dobson restaurant and b'fast we found Sunday lunchtime before departing just wanting something light, tea & scones - perfect!) All in all a perfect weekend with friends, catching up and relaxing, can't wait to return.

From the moment you walk in you are made to feel special. We stayed on dinner b and b and were given an upgrade room which was lovely. Food very good as are spa facilities, but staff make a good hotel and this place has it. I would really recommend it especially if you can get a good deal (we paid £182 for 2 nights).
