Great location, great golf course, spa was good also according to my good lady. Food was excellent and the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly without being over the top. The bed wasn't great and the window frames are shot to pieces but it's an old stately(ish) home so it's part and parcel of the package. I have stayed at a number of such places and this one ticked all of the right boxes and mid week it was very peaceful and just what we wanted. We will definitely go back!

We frequently stay in Macdonald hotels but this was our first time at Linden Hall and it definitely won't be our last!

Everything from original booking, through arrival, accommodation, food (both at dinner in the restaurant and breakfast), health and advice on day trips, and even eventual checking out were all delivered with friendly, professional and customer focused attitude and service. Very impressed!

Fortunately there is still plenty for us to see and do in Northhumberland so very pleased that we will have reason to return to stay in Linden Hall again in the hopefully not too distant future.

Room Tip: As we sleep on a super king size bed at home we plumbed for an Executive King room in the Spa extension end of the hotel and had a very comfortable nights sleep.

My wife and I have just returned from a mini break at Linden Hall and it was excellent. From the moment we arrived ,the staff were very good and it continued through out our stay. The room was nicely furnished and the bathroom was spotless. We were booked in for dinner in the Dobson restaurant which was superb , made all the better by very attentive staff. After a good nights sleep we had the perfect breakfast to set us up for the day. Checking out staff were first class and very helpful. Will definitely be returning .

We booked our two night stay through secret escapes, it was a great deal with four course dinner and drinks voucher. The meal was superb and the staff were fantastic.
We were in a standard room which was very clean but rather small. The second day the flush on our toilet stopped working so we were upgraded to a suite!
The area is stunning, we visited Alnwick and Embleton Bay and Craster which was breathtaking. Lots of walks and castles to visit.
Love it!!!

Room Tip: Standard rooms are small, small double bed.

I stayed here for a girly spa weekend and I honestly couldn't fault it. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. The spa area is small, but I was blown away at just how humble and accommodating the staff were. It really made for a memorable weekend. The food was top notch too. I'd definitely come back here for a romantic getaway.
