Our regular group of friends visited this place on 6/10/2013 and scored it 73% over ten criteria. Beautiful linen and free extra Yorkshire puddings and gravy added value. However the all of the meats were a bit disappointing which was a shame.

We eat here quite regularly as we are locals - Enzo's seafood risotto is fab & the children never tire of the spag bol. Speaking of children, if you don't fancy the 'kids menu' just ask if they'll do a half portion of something else - we do, often! It's sad to see the negative accounts on here, they certainly don't reflect our experience.

Dear tripadvisor

having been locals to this pub with my husband for over 23 years and we have seen many changes over the years to this public house and restaurant

we are ANGRY that the last few 'bad' reviews have been totally utter rubbish

we have ALWAYS had really good quality meals and something different on the specials board
someone moaned on one review about bad wine that's very odd considering the Neuk have over 16 wines to choose from on wine list alone and i checked last time i was in a few days ago ..

having been from a hotel/catering background and my hubby a butcher in Newcastle
anyone with an ounce of knowledge would know the wines for the pub trade are only sourced from wine merchants !'blossom hill' is cheap wine for supermarket use!!!
as for the bad review on meat what rubbish! my hubby is a butcher goodness we wouldn't eat here if it was cheap meat... where do these idiots come from?

we feel we had to put up a review being local and knowing that this place is buzzing when it's busy ...vibrant and has a lovely feel every time you go in
the staff are always welcoming and always give us any suggestions on menu choices when we ask and the banter is good and we will continue to come here

we've had many special times here and we are not letting others spoil this place
through thoughtless reviews.!!

keep up the great work the Dyke Neuk team

cheers Sandra and Robert

This pub is a bit out in the sticks but the car park was full so we thought we would give it a try we got a table straight away and the service was good , my meal was okay but the meat was dry and bland possibly over cooked. The vegetables were nice as was the gravy however the meal was a let down and that is after all the expensive part of the meal, I will go back as it was the first time in about five years I had visited this pub and everyone deserves a second chance could just have been an off day,and I've had a lot worse .
