“Fantastic Accommadation”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

A fantastically clean and well equipped cottage in a great location for exploring Northumberland. A really nice touch was the home made cake, fresh eggs and the pint of milk left for us by Tina and Alan on our arrival. The kids enjoyed the facilities on the farm such as the rope swing in the barn, the swings in the orchard and splashing about in the river. They also enjoyed feeding Sooty and Sweep. The only disappointment was that we had to leave, a week seemed to fly by! I would certainly recommend Elishaw Farm holiday cottages.

Excellent accommodation in a great rural location, affording an ideal base from which to explore the beauty of Northumberland. With a rope swing in the barn, swings and hammock in the orchard and a further larger field leading onto a private stretch of river there is plenty to entertain the children and the dog. What a lovely surprise to find the cottage stocked with fresh eggs, milk in the fridge and homemade cake on arrival! Top drawer. Massively recommended. Thank you, Tina.

Superb little cottage, comfortably slept 4. Lovely homely feel. Great value for money. Loads of things to see and do. Excellent location. We'll definitely be coming back! Tina and Alan make a warm welcome with little extras such as a pint of milk in the fridge and home made cakes. Lovely grounds and stunning views. Including the most amazing dark skies.

Stayed for a week between Christmas & New Year. Tina the owner was extremely helpful from the outset and the home made mince pies, and mulled wine were a perfect welcome when we arrived.

We stayed in Farmhouse cottage and were bowled over by the comfort, cleanliness and beauty of the property.

If I had to sum Elishaw Farm up in one word it would be - WOW!! We will definitely be recommending this place to our friends and family and will 100% be back to stay again.

This was my first Christmas away and from the moment I arrived at Elishaw Farm it felt like home! The cosy cottage had everything that was needed - including it's own Christmas Tree which was a nice touch! Christmas & Boxing Day had clear blue skies and a hard frost over the gorgeous surrounding countryside - ideal for walking off the excessive amount of food consumed!

Alan and Tina were the perfect hosts - welcoming, cheery and happy to help without a second thought! I can't thank them enough and look forward to my next visit!

Highly recommend!

My Wife and 2 children stayed for 3 nights in mid december. We had a fab time the cottage was spotless and we were met with home made cake fresh farm eggs and a bottle of wine! The log fire was already set and after a strike of a match we sat back and instantly relaxed. Tina and Alan were amazing, after making sure we were settled in they left us to it. Even the weather did not spoil the children from playing in the orchard, visting the hens and spending hours on the Tarzi in the barn! My 9 year old daughter loved sooty and sweep and still goes on about the two shetland ponies - she wanted them for christmas :). We had a great day at Hexham Christmas market and my 6 year old son has talked a lot since about Hadrians wall which I have promised to take him back to (and the roller coaster road the A68). We have had such a great time that we will definitely be returning we want to visit Keilder resevoir, Holy Island and Bamburgh as well as Alnick gardens and castle... I think we will have to stop for a week next time. We were also fortunate to have 1 clear night and I understand now why Northumberland was voted one of the best places for star gazing! Overall a fab relaxing holiday and just what we wanted.
