We had a quick weekend break in Northumberland and stayed at the Redesdale Arms. I'm so glad we did! Everything was perfect from the beginning, we received a lovely warm welcome from all the staff and over the weekend had some absolutely delicious food, including a fantastic breakfast which was enough to see us through the day. The room was very spacious and the bed gave us two of the best nights sleep we've had. The location is second to none, with some of the best views I've seen.
We discovered that they have just been awarded four stars, which is a fantastic achievement and well deserved. Treat yourself to a stay here and you will definitely be a return guest.

Clean rooms comfortable bed, some decor dated. The bathroom was for disabled use which made the sink and shower too low for us.
Best breakfast had in years, local produce.
Hlepful friendly staff.

A warm welcome and the offer of assistance with all our bags (we were travelling on motorcycles) set the scene for a comfortable one night stay on the way back from the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.

The room was very comfortable, clean and contemporarily decorated, and free WiFi was available too.

The evening meal was excellent pub grub, cheerfully served by two young waitresses.

Breakfast was excellent too. We were made most welcome and we would definitely return.

We stayed for one night and had lunch (we arrived early) dinner and breakfast at the Redesdale Arms hotel. All were excellent. The sun was shining whilst we were there and we managed to sit outside for the lunch and dinner enjoying the fantastic view. During our stay the staff were all very friendly and provided a good efficient service.
Even though we arrived at 2pm our room was ready. It was quite small but served our purposes fine. The ensuite had a bath with shower and the room had all the usual tea and coffee, Freeview T.V., radio alarm etc. Comfortable good size bed too. Also free WiFi.
Full English breakfast was served (not buffet) in the restaurant from where you can watch rabbits nibbling the grass outside.
It is an old building that stands by itself set back slightly from the road and there is much history in the area (being near the border) with plenty of easily accessible country walks nearby.
I am still not sure of the official checking out time as we left late in the morning with no pressure from staff.

We stayed for my birthday and Carol and Mark could not have made us all more welcome. The rooms are very clean and recently refurbished, the food is excellent and the service and atmosphere, very friendly. I can't fault the bar except that I had difficulty choosing what to drink next! Whether I drop in for a drink heading North or South ,or stop over for the night, the pleasant welcome from the staff and locals is always the same . We even got Carol to play our silly party games. When we woke up to a foot of snow , it just made the area more beautiful than it already is.

This hotel is set in stunning scenery and quite isolated. The room was OK but a bit cold, the staff offered to put the central heating on (it was August afterall) but I refused and they brought us up an electric fire for the room, which was fine. The food was good pub grub and the restaurant got quite busy, which I didn't expect given the isolation of the location. The breakfast was good and the owners helpful.

I recently spent a few relaxing days at the beautifully situated Redesdale Hotel on the borders of Scotland and England. The view from my bedroom window was almost unreal, with sheep dotting the vivid green landscape. The bed and mattress were excellent, and my room was large and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble, and the food was superb and served by delightful, friendly staff.. I will definitely be going there again when I can.
