“Excellent property and really nice place to stay”
Reviewed 8 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Kittiwake is an excellent property to rent to base any stay in Seahouses and the lovely surrounding area. The property which is part of a row of terraced cottages is extremely clean and comfortable for either a short or longer stay. It has all the facilities I needed, was well equipped and I even found a free BT wi-fi zone. We were fortunate with the weather and found the property more than warm enough given it was late September/early October but it also has a a wood burning stove to top up the heat if the weather takes a turn. It is extremely close to all the harbour, local shops and pubs, probably less than a 400 yards walk yet is located on a quiet street and offers an excellent option to base yourself in the area. Whilst the property does not have direct parking, which does not seem to be uncommon in Seahouses, there is more than enough street parking within a very short distance or the use of a private garage nearby so no issue on that front..
I really enjoyed my stay and hope to return to this area again for more excellent walking and will certainly look to rent this property again.

“Fabulous break”
Reviewed 12 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Kittiwake is a lovely, well-equipped cottage and a perfect base for exploring the magnificent Northumberland Coast. It is a home from home and has lovely touches such as games etc for rainy days. It is also ideally placed just a short walk from the harbour and shops. We would thoroughly recommend the cottage and the area and can't wait to return!

“Home from home”
Reviewed 13 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

From the moment you walked through the door Kittiwake felt very welcoming. It was one of the cleanest properties we have had the pleasure to have stopped in. Well decorated throughout with all the facilities you could want on a family holiday away from home, all within easy walking distance of all of Seahouses amenities. Would definitely recommend.

“Great location and everything you'd need”
Reviewed 17 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We stayed for a long weekend with our 4 year old son. Weather was great and we stay in Northumberland a lot. Seahouses and indeed Kittiwake was just perfect for us. Stones throw from harbour so lots of rock pooling and pottering about. The cottage was so well equipped and super clean. Would not hesitate to return.

“Fantastic holiday”
Reviewed 17 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Everything was exactly as described only better. Kittiwake had everything you would possibly need and was in a great location - near the harbour and all local amenities.
The property was clean and well maintained throughout.
Whilst we were there we visited the local area, Farne Islands, Holy Island, Berwick and even drove into Scotland.
We had a great time and would love to return, we did not want to leave.

“A real home from home”
Reviewed 3 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

This is a well equipped and nicely decorated holiday cottage in the picturesque fishing village of Seahouses. We were very lucky with the weather and so we were able to explore this part of Northumberland in comfort. The location is handy for the village amenties and in a central location to go up to Lindisfarne and Berwick and down to Hadrian's wall. We went out to the Farne Islands on a calm day and this should not be missed.

“Brilliant house in excellent location”
Reviewed 2 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We LOVED Kittiwake, what a wonderful base for us for a short break in Seahouses. We especially appreciated the little touches, the rucksack with binoculars for our day walking and the dvd family quiz was a huge hit when the skies turned grey. The house is perfectly positioned - a short walk to the centre, literally a couple of minutes from the very well stocked Co-op, yet quiet at night. The girls enjoyed hours with crabbing lines at the harbour while we watched them from the garden at the Ship Inn. Thanks, Karen, for a lovely stay. We hope to be back!
