A snack lunch to forget. Perhaps you pay for the harbour view..........
Two of our group of five had soup, which was acceptable. Two had a crab and pitta bread starter - very small servings at about £7.40 each. One ordered a baked potato and simple salad. The salad was simple, but the baked potato was soggy, sitting in a brown liquid, and basically inedible. Taking this back to the Duty-Manager she understood she was getting a refund. That turned out not to be the case. She was later offered a replacement - by which rime she lost her appetite, and saw little point as the chef had declared the meal fully satisfactory. The staff then took a determined view that there would be no refund, and we left - and won't return.

Large, friendly (dog friendly is some parts) with fantastic food! The portions are huge! Large garden outside looking from Bamburgh Castle right along the coat to the harbour a Lovely place to have your lunch on a sunny day. Didn't stay as we have a caravan nearby but it seems to be very popular.

Room Tip: The ones overlooking the sea have little balconies

our group of Golfers has now been coming here for 12 years and in fact was one of the first group of people to stay in the hotel(started with 8 and is now at 16 people).
The staff are friendly and polite even when we get a little loud!!! the rooms are clean and tidy. The breakfast is always plenty fully (could do with some new toasters though). No doupt we will be going back next year.

Room Tip: Try to get a sea view.

We're in a golfers paradise with fabulous courses nearby. Golfers are indeed welcome - especially your group. Always good to see you and welcome you home!

Although the staff were friendly enough and the view out of the windows pleasant (to be honest the only good thing seahouses has to offer is the view) this shabby restaurant really should do better. The food was priced at a premium rate yet it came out looking freshly microwaved. My steak and ale pie was nothing more than a pile of chewy beef in gravy with a sheet of soggy pastry dumped on top. Tinned peas and oven chips. Certainly not premium food. All be it dessert was pleasent enough but rather basic choice!! I really would not recommended this as a viable place to eat when there are so many other pubs serving quality food in thr surrounding areas!

Booked Xmas break with my wife and my in laws as a thank you .we married 7th June and even named two of the tables Seahouses and Lindisfarne after our favourite places .I have also stayed and eaten at the Lindisfarne Inn -a sister hotel the food and rooms are equally as good.Pleased to see that the Kings Head Newton under Roseberry in a lovely location and close to our favourite walk of Roseberry Topping has joined the group so good luck and best wishes to all the staff there we will see you for a pint and Sunday lunch very soon.Booked the Hogs Head Inn at Alnwick for next month and we will have done all four! .Just love the relaxing ambience and good quality food this small group of hotels offer .Cannot recommend highly enough.

Room Tip: Best rooms sea view of course at Bamburgh Castle Inn of course

You get good honest pub food at the Bamburgh Castle Inn Seahouses and if the weather is fine (which it was when we visited) a splendid view of the sea from the pub garden. I recommend the crab sandwich which comes with a generous portion of chips and a salad garnish. We will certainly call again, next time we are in Seahouses.

Stayed here 2 weeks ago. Room was clean and quite well equipped but dated. Food reminded me of a works canteen ,both evening meals and breakfast were very poor. All the staff were friendly and efficient but there didn't seem to be anyone in charge. Location is great and has free parking . On balance ,we would stay there again but eat out.

That's a shame - we think our food - like our views - is outstanding.
