We have just stayed for two nights at The Old Mill . Cannot fault the high quality accommodation and welcome that we received from the owners. Unlike some b & b they really care about their guests and we would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a base to explore either the national park, the coast or walking along St Cuthberts Way. On arrival use the address not sat nav which doesn't lead you to correct drive entrance . For eating out would recommend the Tapas Bar in hotel no1 in Wooler, lovely venue and Tapas good. Not many places to eat around if you are staying more than one night and want a quiet pub but try The Plough at Allerdeane (check out trip advisor) we enjoyed our meal , simple but not too expensive.

We stayed at the Old Mill B & B over four nights on the last leg of our two week holiday. Paulette gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived and the tray of tea and coffee with biscuits was very much appreciated, especially after our long journey from the Isle of Skye. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a winner each morning, and set us up for the day ahead. Nothing appeared too much trouble for Paulette and Patrick and were ready to offer suggestions on where to eat and visit in and around the area.

We really enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in returning to The Old Mill. We wish Paulette and Patrick continued success.

We (4 lady walkers) arrived weary from our walk to a very welcome from Paulette. Our rooms were wonderful and we were delighted to have a bath once again. Paulette booked a table for our evening meal but the piece de resistance of this wonderful B&B is the breakfast.....porridge, fruit salad, cooked breakfast plus home made bread:-) ....we highly recommend the Old Mill....you will not be disappointed.

A first time booking so a bit of pot luck, and we loved it.
A truly warm welcome followed by a tray of tea and biscuits after the 5 hour journey.
We stayed in the Bamburgh room (of the 3 they have). En suite with triple aspect. Up two short flights of stairs.
Ample size, with wifi, enough furniture and a good sized en suite with batch/shower.
Peaceful and quiet at night. The nesting rooks were noisy at breakfast (but nice, just like the hens). As the weather was beautiful, breakfast was taken in the conservatory. Breakfast is by pre-order the night before (we weren't keen but it worked well and became fun).
We have to admit, the breakfasts were 10/10 and everything was spotless. Our hosts couldn't have done more for us.
£75 a night for two people. Great value.
Beware though when arriving, we drove past the entrance twice and had to phone.

Room Tip: I think they will all be good.

A very warm welcome from Paulette, with a refreshing pot of tea and advice about where to have our evening meal (she booked us a table). We were a little weary after a day on the St Cuthbert's Way and especially enjoyed a soak in the bath. Breakfast served in the delightful conservatory was excellent including the best toast and marmalade we had all week. The room was very spacious and the building and location all add interest to the stay.
