After reading reviews before visiting on a KGB deal we kind of anticipated what the hotel would be like. It was very much as expected. Hotel itself is very large for a small time like Wooler, it was very (very!) quiet all weekend which suited us. Especially so as we had the 2 dogs in tow. It's dog friendly, the staff are very pleasant, the place kept very clean and the food very nice. We had the Fajitas which were very tasty and the sticky Toffee pudding for afters was to die for (and home made!). Could have kept a door open with the wedge we were served! Quantity by no means compromised quality!
A very enjoyable visit and relaxing weekend away.
Only gripe would be some the rooms look a little outdated. Saying that I guess there's only so much improvement you can make to a 400 year old coaching inn!
Go, you will enjoy!More
