Looking for overnight accommodation I came across this hotel. Glad I decided to book. Huge room with a pleasant view over the countryside. Friendly staff. We ate in the restaurant as it's out on it's own a bit but food was hot, tasty and reasonably priced. £10 to put a camping bed in the room didn't take up too much space and meant the whole family could stay in the one room. I really enjoyed my stay.

I stayed in the Lakeview Lodge over Easter weekend with my Husband and another couple.

We were greeted by the most friendliest staff at reception. We arrived several hours early before check in and we were able to leave our luggage at reception whilst we went out to do some food shopping in Mansfield which is about a ten min drive away. We arrived back to collect our luggage and we were able to check into our lodge. We were directed to our lodge and once we arrived, we were stunned on how beautiful the lodge was!

The lodge had two en-suite king size bedrooms, a separate WC downstairs and a beautiful open plan kitchen/dining area/living room. It also had a stunning veranda with lovely furniture and hot tub. We were truly amazed. It was clean and had all the little necessities like ironing board, iron, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, cloths for washing up and tea towels etc. It also had all the cookware, cutlery etc.

We hired a BBQ which cost £10.00 and they added this onto our security deposit of £50.00 which we paid on check in. This was refunded to me a week after getting home. It was a gas BBQ and was supplied at our lodge when we arrived.

There were only four lodges and this was brilliant. It was so quiet and tranquil. I miss it already. I would most definitely come back tomorrow if I had the chance.

Lastly, definitely go to the Redbrick House restaurant. We had the most amazing meal there on Saturday night. My friend really fancied a cheese board for dessert which wasn't on the menu and they kindly done her one! Top class service!!

Room Tip: Both rooms are en-suite but the first floor bedroom had a lovely balcony. The room downstairs has t...

My husband and I stayed with another couple over easter weekend in the lakeview lodge.
we were greeted by the most friendly staff at the redbrick house and were directed towards our lodge.

The lodge was in an ideal location, picturesque and so tranquil.
The lodge itself was incredible. Very clean, had all the luxuries that we weren't expecting. one of them being under floor heating which is so nice after coming in from the hot tub!
Everything about our stay was perfect. the location was great and was closer to Sherwood forest than center parcs.

The food up at the restaurant in redbrick house was gorgeous so recommend that.

I will definitely be returning.

This was for all intents and purposes a sombre occasion as i was attending the funeral of my best friend nearby. i was totally blown away by this place, the setting itself was lovely even though just off a busy main road, quickly greeted by the friendliest of ginger cats i was further impressed by the service i received at the reception and once in the single room i had booked i was further blown away by the room itself, considering it was a single room is was massive and nicely done out, the four poster bed was a nice touch. the bathroom was awesome. the food was lovely and reasonably priced and service provided by the staff was brilliant, i would consider coming back just for the hell of it, well impressed.

I stayed here for several nights in January with an elderly relative. The staff were exceptionally very kind and helpful. Nothing seemed too much bother. The food was excellent.
The rooms we had were both spacious and warm, with a pleasant outlook.

Redbrick House is a hotel and venue in its own right, however upon booking my holiday via Hoseasons we booked to stay at Redbrick Woodland Lodges it's not made really clear I expected an entrance/reception all to its self.
Upon arrival a dated sign for the hotel with a smaller sign low to the ground in purple was advertised for the lodges.
A huge empty car park with 3 lonely cars and my belly dropped thinking what have we done :/ we entered reception in the hotel to book in and was given my key along with 3 A4 pages of advisory's of hottub use rules and extra costs ie. Extra visitors, cars, cleaning, not emptying the dishwasher etc.
Arrived at the lodge at the back of the hotel where 4 lodges are in situ.
Sherwood,Oak,Moshannon and Lakeside.
We stayed in the Moshannon private area to dine, sit, use the hottub a nice covered veranda with 2 chairs so even in bad weather you could still enjoy the countryside and wildlife.
Moshannon Lodge was warm, compact and cosy plenty of crockery, seats, cleaning products, iron, hairdryer etc benefitted from underfloor heating, wood burner however a few niggles if these were sorted then it would whole heartly earn its Autograph Range 5* Hoseasons Rating.

Bathroom windows are not privacy panes so if you are a male adult you are looking at the lodge opposite lounge :/

The sofas are leather tub style & which are uncomfortable for a luxury, relaxing holiday wooden bars can be felt and had the leather worn on the inside,if it was changed to a corner fabric more relaxed seating for guests and in a lighter colour to tone in with the kitchen it would lift the darkness in the living area other lodges have glass panes at the top this one does not.

The beds are in need of replacing my children are aged 6 -11 and they all complained about how soft, lumpy and how springs can be felt and we have had lack of sleep.

Information booklet with information of best eat guide, attractions, review form etc
However their is a basket of old leaflets but I feel its far more attractive and attention to detail can go a long way.

Also maybe benefit from the use of a small fenced woodland park lots of disused touring caravan plots just to help keep children entertained and make it look abit more inviting and pleasant.

If these issues were addressed I would would give it a 5* and be booked up again already!

Soooo please do because I would like to! :)

Perks were the very good quality hottub, nice dining area, power shower, wood burner, underfloor heating, view of the mini lake, and the amount of wildlife to wake up too! Not to far from Major Oak - Sherwood Forest,Clumber Park,Go Ape,Thorsby Hall,Steam Railway etc all within 5 -15 mins drive away. Would recommend a visit to Newark and Nottingham too.
Places to eat in Edwinstowe a very nice cafe is Ococo,The Bistro, and if you fancy a takeaway Indian and pizza shop in one which was tasty and plentiful!

Just returned from a great weekend away at redbrick lodges, we stayed on the Oakridge lodge sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms with a hottub , great time lovely big lodge and 3 bathrooms and great master suite! Underfloor heating kept the lodge warm without any problems, small great touches like dishwasher tablets , tea towel and washing up liquid where provided which have lacked in other! To gain an excellent these lodges could so with wifi to gain 10/10 but that's just a personal like.. Would recommend ..
