Our second time at this hotel while visiting family and another very comfortable stay with very friendly staff. Clean, spacious rooms and a very warm welcome and staff who can't do enough to help make your stay as comfortable as possible. Initially allocated a room at the back of the hotel but we found this a little noisy with lorries going by so asked to move to a a room at the front and this was arranged with no problem at all. Excellent value and will definitely use again.

Room Tip: Request a room at the front of the hotel as they are away from the road and quieter.

Markham Moor offers comfort, warmth and cleanliness in a convenient location for our requirements along with free parking and a selection of food options. Although it is situated on the A1 traffic noise did not disturb our sleep.
The staff were courteous and helpful.

Stayed for one night with wife on route to further location.
Arrived late at night, parked by Little Chef and at Travelodge reception received a warm, friendly and efficient welcome, checked in within few minutes. Room was surprisingly large, immaculately clean and fresh and looked like it had recently been decorated/re-freshed.
Had decent nights sleep and was not affected at all by road noise as rooms well glazed.
Breakfast was taken at Little Chef next door where we had 10% discount upon showing Little Chef staff our Travelodge room key.
Did not see anyone at reception when checking out, which was not a problem, dropped off key in drop-box.
Overall, we paid £38 (£36 for room and £2 booking fee) for double room which was excellent value for money. Easy and friendly check-in. Room clean, fresh and had decent nights sleep which is all you want. Great value for money. Recommended.

This hotel was up to the usual Travelodge high standard, decor is nice and fresh and the hotel clean and staff friendly. Only concern is its next to a lorry park and services so a little noise can be expected... it does give warning of this on the website when booking.

We chose the travelodge as it was near to where we had to be, as it was a 2 day visit avoiding a long journey home. The room was a family room, with a double bed and 2 singles, lots of room and comfortable. The only gripe was the bathroom door was sticky and was difficult to open.
