We visited on a very hot day in July looking to get some milkshakes to go... as it was our first trip here, we didn’t really know what to expect.

When walking in we found it to be very cramped and full of loud children and families.. there was no where to sit and we had to squeeze our bags between the small tables to get to the small section in the back to order.

It was ridiculously dark in the back..with shelves full of tatty bits and bobs for sale (that nobody will ever buy)... two young children were trying to use the pick and mix station next to the fridge.. which made the claustrophobic back section even worse. The only upside was the large air conditioning unit blowing over the staff in an attempt to cool the 30 degrees heat inside this cafe.

Our friend ordered her milkshake with the very young girl behind the counter... who did not know what she was doing. There were three people behind this tiny counter, one of which a man- clearly the manager.. every time we spoke he looked over to make sure the young girl was doing things right— not very professional and very slow service. When our friend came to pay for her milkshake.. the card machine decided not to work... none of us had cash on us which meant the milkshakes myself and my partner ordered were cancelled and we were told we could not take them away. Luckily my friend had spare change to pay for just her drink.. but we were left stunned that the owner did not even give us an apology for the situation. We left very unhappy having spent 20 mins waiting to be rejected due a fault not of our own.

Overall, stupidly cramped and slow unprofessional service. We will definitely not be returning.

Pop in here a lot with friends and it is the loveliest place! The decor is very rustic and welcoming and the staff so friendly. The milkshakes are out of this world. They have a very wide selection and at a very reasonable price! After trying the custard cream special today I can't wait for my next visit!

This tiny cafe has a full range of coffees, smoothies and other drinks, sandwiches, paninis, wraps, cakes etc. Also an amazing range of shakes. All delicious and great value.

Lovely people, nice atmosphere, “shabby chic” handicrafts for sale. Definitely worth a visit.

This review would not be right without the mention of the word ‘lovely’. Lovely people serving lovely shakes in a lovely atmosphere.

The four of us had different shakes and they were all of high quality and good taste. It is quite small, but that does add to the atmosphere.

I will be visiting again.
