This place is going to become one of our favourite places I can tell. It was totally empty on a Tuesday night, but that just made it more romantic. The owner was so nice and offered to put together a special 2-course sampler style platter for us so we could try a little bit of lots of things. It was all delicious and he promised that the each time he would give us something different if we want. What a great evening and what a great place. It is a very special place and I hope everyone enjoys their experience as much as we did. We will certainly be back!

An enthusiastic welcome set the scene for a most enjoyable meal. A selection of excellent meze dishes, followed by a main course and Baklava, for a more than reasonable cost.
We were offered tap water - always a bonus- but the mint tea was lovely
Current owner has been there 2 months and - judging by the level of service, quality of food and good prices, will be there the next time I manage to visit Abingdon.
Thank you

We received a very friendly welcome and service throughout (and no raised eyebrows at the request for tap water, unlike at an Italian restaurant further down the same street). The mezzes proved to be good value - five were plenty for the two of us sharing. Good to see a slightly unusual, independent restaurant, with people trying hard. We hope to return soon.

We went in for a dinner last Saturday. To our surprise the old owner, Michael, has just taken over the place again and what a difference!
We were made to feel very welcome, owner suggested the set menus and went for those without hesitation since we remember how good they were in the old days!
We were not disappointed, food delicious, wine fantastic also and the service really good. Will definitely recommend to everybody and We will be returning very soon.

Highly recommend to everybody to try and see the difference in service and food now!

We came upon this lovely little place when looking for somewhere to eat in Abingdon. We were early so it was very quiet but I could imagine it could have a great buzz when busy. Very friendly service, helpful suggestions. A few items missing from the menu were clearly pointed out at the start.

The house white was light and fruity, not unlike vinho verde. We had starters of little lamb filo pastry rolls and chicken livers, piping hot and freshly cooked, flavoursome and served with pita bread and salad.

Chicken and lamb souvlaki was perfectly cooked and delicious with pita and fresh salad. Simply cooked, good quality ingredients with good seasoning are always a pleasure to enjoy. We ended with a shared plate of baklava and Lebanese coffee, poured at our table, steaming gently.

I only wish we lived closer as this would be an ideal local restaurant. I noticed that they do an extensive range of paninis at lunchtime to supplement the Lebanese menu which is comprehensive. I could have happily tried almost anything on the menu as it sounded very nice.
