The Cosener's House provides a very variable standard of accommodation. I typically stay in Abingdon on business, but I chose here as the Ridgeway Hotel was full. The rooms in the 'newer' block are very average, with nicer rooms in the main block.

It is located in a very picturesque location in Abingdon and a very short walk to the town. Car Parking is limited, but I was able to find a spot, some cars where double parked after I returned from diner.

Breakfast is a buffet style, seat yourself affair. It was generally good, although they had run out of sausages on this occasion by 08:15 in the morning.

The room was a real let down, the main room itself was functional, although a little dusty. It was the bathroom which was disgusting, as you can see from yourself in the photos. It really had not been cleaned properly for a long while and repairs had been ignored or bodged.

I took the photos to show the receptionist at checkout the next morning; however after asking to checkout, all I good was a swift "Thats all fine." No question of how my stay was or any friendly wishes for the day.

I've included the photos for you to make your own choice.
