“Usual excellence from Premier Inn”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 May 2011

Stayed whilst helping with the Air & Country Show. I like the beds in Premier Inns and this was no exception. Arrived with a bad back (following weeks of decorating/DIY!) and asked for a ground floor room so I didn't have to take lots of kit upstairs. Combination of bed, hot bath and ibuprofen sorted the back in short order.
Friendly and helpful staff. After two hard days on site all I wanted in the evening was a good meal, couple of pints and bed. I was not disappointed. Rib-eye steak very good.
Bit odd on the Sunday when they had run out of garlic bread, onions rings and Wadworth's 6X! Perhaps there was something on during the day. Old Hooky was a suitable substitute.

We love the "Purple Palaces". We stayed in room 24 which was massive! But the novelty wore off when we realised how the TV volume has been restricted. This meant that we had to ditch the film we were struggling to hear on the far away TV and instead set up the lap top on the bed. All the staff we came into contact with were really helpful, keen to assist with directions, etc. The staff at the Beefeater next door were exceptionally friendly too and made every effort to make sure our needs were met and that we were happy.
Lovely river walks start right outside the grounds. Ten miles to Oxford town centre, best to leave yr car here as Oxford is over £20 a day to park at! Park and ride is available.
Apart from that the room was clean, comfortable and quiet.

Me and my partner had a wonderfull stay at this hotel. We arrived to such a warm welcome from reception they were very willing to help us with any problems we may of had. the hotel was very clean and the bedroom was very tidy without a thing out of place. We was only there for one evening but had such a good experience. We will defiantly be back.

We booked this hotel with the meal deal for a stop off on the way to a cruise from Southampton. The hotel had checked with us the day before whether we needed help finding them, and in the event it was easy to get to.
The welcome was great and thorough (Sam) and we were quickly settled in our room.
The room was clean, comfortable and simply furnished and unusually for a "motel" had a proper bath in the bathroom. Despite being next to a busy road just beyond the car park outside the window, nothing disturbed us at all.
We had dinner in the adjoining pub and it was good value with friendly service. A pity that service was lacking at breakfast with no-one to show us to a table and let us know that cooked items needed to be ordered. Also we had to ask for some buffet items to be replaced rather than someone keeping an eye on the need to do this automatically. As part of the meal deal the food was good value and NO - we would NEVER consider the trauma of a McSpew* breakfast over the road despite the glitch in service here.
All in all we had a comfortable night and would return again for a one night stay on the way elsewhere again.

Stayed here for a night after visiting family in the area and it was perfectly fine.
Easy to find - free car parking - rooms clean and spacious. The staff were very good indeed, a friendly word on each occasion that we passed. Went to McDonalds over the roundabout for breakfast, as the £3-4 there was considerably cheaper that the £7.75 at the next door restaurant, especially as there were six of us! Would stay again.
