Lovely location and a lovely pemimer inn. Aingdon is a lovely town on the river ock and has a lovely riverside setting and park where the children can play and splash about in the sprinlgers in the summer.

We recently stayed at this hotel, and although the bar/restaurant disappointed the Premier Inn was in our opinion very good. Upon arrival we were greeted by Sophie on reception. We found Sophie very helpful and exceptionally friendly, we were checked in efficiently and advised about rooms being hot and offered a fan which was very pleasing. This friendly, helpful approach from the staff on reception we found continued throughout our stay. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about the Ock Mill restaurant, next to the hotel which we used for breakfasts and dinners. The staff were rushed off of their feet making service poor, in particular we found a bald headed man (think management staff) rude to staff which was also extended to guets. 100% recommend the Premier Inn but would not recommend the Ock Mill for meals which is unfortunate as this lets the hotel down.

Just what you expect from a premier inn.
We had a room on the top floor of this converted mill
It was a good size and well equipped
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful
We used the Beefeater next door the menu was varied and the food good
The hotel is a short walk from Abingdon centre with its pubs, tea shops and riverside walks

Good evening, thank you for taking the time to review your stay,

I’m glad to read that everything was as you expect, with a spacious room that had everything you needed.
I’m pleased that you also found the staff to be friendly and the restaurant to be good with a varied menu.

As you say we are just a 15-minute walk from the town centre and the Thames river which is lovely to visit on a sunny day.

Many thanks again for your review; we hope to see you again,

We stayed here for one night while walking the Thames path, and found it a very comfortable, friendly place. The room was very clean, spacious and quiet. We ate in the Beefeater next door, which was very convenient and the food & drink were very good.

Stayed for a weekend break and all was as you would expect from a Premier Inn. The room and bathroom both spotlessly clean and the bed large and comfortable. Two minor issues worth a mention though. We had a room at the back of the building on the second floor which was great because it was away from the road noise at the front, but it was uncomfortably hot. There was no breeze coming in through the windows and even with the desk fan provided the room temp remained at about 25/26C which is too hot to sleep comfortably. A difficult problem to solve without the use of air conditioning as with all the fire doors sealing down the corridors the air flow through the building is virtually non-existant,hence the rooms stay hot even at night.
The other moan is the lock on the TV volume. It is fine on some channels but they do not all broadcast at the same sound levels so some channels (ie BBC2) were simply to quiet to watch, especially with the fan running!! I know they do not want their guests to disturb each other with loud TV`s but I think most people are sensible enough to use the volume button with consideration for others.
Otherwise a good value for money stay with the usual high standard of comfort and friendly helpful staff that the always reliable Premier Inns provide.Thanks.

Good evening, and thank you for taking the time to review your stay,

It’s good to hear that everything was as you would expect, and that the rooms were clean and comfortable.
I’m sorry that you experienced issues with the heat in the room, as you say we do not have air conditioning at this site however staff have been trying to make the rooms as comfortable as possible by ensuring all rooms have fans, and offering sheets instead of duvets, and jugs of water.
I’m sorry to read that you also experienced issues with the TV volume in the room, staff are available 24 hours a day and should be able to check that the TV is set to the correct settings for you.

Many thanks again for your review, we hope to see you again.

Good hotel with friendly, helpful staff but there may be issues with rooms being too hot in summer and lack of air conditioning. Room was spacious and very clean including the bathroom. Well located hotel as regards access to town and public transport

Good evening, thank you for reviewing your stay with us.

It’s great to read you found your stay with us to be a good one, with friendly and helpful staff and large clean rooms. As you say we do not have air conditioning at this Premier Inn, however staff are available 24 hours a day should you need an extra fan in the room, or would like to swap your duvet for a cooler sheet.

Many thanks again for your review, we hope to see you in Premier Inn again.
