So close to the A34, this hotel offers lovely rooms, spacious and clean. The bathroom looked to have been recently refurbished, and the double bed looked a bit lost in the huge room! The linen was clean, and the room was quiet (I'm a light sleeper, too) given that it looked out on a busy junction. My only grouse overall was the heavyweight duvet that pinned me down in the bed!! Its worth noting that there is no lift, so the second floor rooms may not be suitable for all. The restaurant next door provided cheerful service, and good food.
