Friendly, helpful, staff, who did all they could to assist during our stay and very child friendly. The food was very good with an excellent dinner menu for children in the restaurant. The rooms were slightly small for a family of five.

Although on a busy roundabout the room was extremely quiet. Only stayed one night but would stay longer. The restaurant was very busy with all categories of people from young families to oldies like us.

I stay here each May whilst working at the nearby Abingdon Air & Country Show. I always find this a pleasant Premier Inn with very friendly and helpful staff and pleased to report it was still the same. I always ask for a ground floor room and this was accommodated again. The room was clean and tidy with a wonderful bed and good shower. Ate in the Beefeater each night as too tired to go elsewhere. Thought the rib-eye steak the first night was excellent, with Hook Norton's Old Hooky beer. The second night we were warned there could be a 45min delay to be served as a party of 16 had just sat down but the waitress quickly returned to say their order hadn't been taken yet so we managed to get in first! Top marks. The third night I was late back but they managed to accommodate me. I'll be back next year.

We stayed here for one night to attend a family gathering on May Bank holiday Sunday. A few days before I received two e-mails from the hotel giving me information on directions, car parking, check-in/out, breakfast, lunch & dinner and taxis companies should we require one. I also received a courtesy call from the hotel a couple of days before telling me that there were no lift or air-con (which was no problem) they also asked if we had any special requirements. I asked if we could have rooms (we had booked 3) which were at the back of the hotel, the receptionist kindly found us 3 on the second floor at the back, I also enquired if it would be possible to check-in any earlier as we had an occasion to attend and would like to change into our clothes, the receptionist advised me to call on the morning of our stay to see what could be done to accommodate our request. I phoned on our journey down and the receptionist told me that we could have one of the rooms early which enabled us to leave our cases and take turns to get changed which helped us greatly.

We arrived back at the hotel at midnight to check-in to our other two rooms and were warmly greeted by a gentleman on reception. I then went back down to reception to ask for a couple of more sachets of tea and milk for our morning cuppa and was promptly given some with a cheery smile from the man on reception again.

Our room was very large, and the other two rooms even bigger with chaise lounge style sofas in them, the rooms were clean, the beds very comfortable and we heard no road noise inside the rooms, the bathroom was good with dispensing soap for the bath/shower and hand basin.

There is a Beefeater restaurant (Ock Mill) next door to the hotel where they served breakfast, lunch and evening meals but we didn't eat there on this occasion. There is also a large Tesco supermarket within walking distance where you can go for breakfast and stock-up on any snacks/wine/beer if required.

We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel.

The staff were extremely friendly and considerate as one of our friends was unable to join us through ill health and they went the extra mile to reimburse her with most of the money she had paid for the stay. It was much appreciated by us all. We only used the restaurant for breakfast and there was a good variety available but my friend requested gluten free bread, which was advertised on the menu, but she didn't get any until the last morning of our 3 night stay.

This is a small Premier Inn but dated and in need of refurbishment located on the main road into Abingdon, the hotel is located opposite the Police station and McDonalds. I stayed here in connection with work which included shifts, my room was facing the road and was incredibly noisy with traffic, I didn't think Abingdon was a high crime area but the amount of Police cars coming out of the Police station with sirens wailing was a regular occurrence night and day. Although reception staff are friendly the cleaners seem to have an attitude making as much noise as possible when a "Shh do not disturb" sign is hung on the door obviously they don't know the meaning of quiet and were shouting down the corridor to each other, throwing stuff about and deliberately bumping the vacuum cleaner into the wall. The actual room was far too large and binoculars are needed to see the small flat screen TV mounted on the desk but the bed was extremely comfortable fitted with a topper mattress and hot water was always available.

I only used the Beefeater restaurant once as I found the bland processed food a turn off especially the re-heated chips and under-cooked chicken burnt on the outside, the restaurant had a smell of bleach or beer line cleaner and was not a pleasant atmosphere yo be in that I chose to eat elsewhere and the sight of a big rat on my exit was also off putting!

Room Tip: Avoid road facing rooms
