A very rare treat to go out for a meal with my husband and so we thought we would push the boat out and go to the Broad Face. So was pleasantly surprised by the bill at the end which was nowhere near as much as I would have expected for the quality of the food.
Excellent quality steak, cooked to perfection, which is rarer than it should be but I was confident about ordering it after reading the reviews here, I was not disappointed, served with a mountain of chips but also salad and tender, but not overcooked, vegetables, such a nice surprise. The Crème Brulee was also beautiful.
The pub and restaurant were both very quiet, I hope it isn't always that quiet because the food and service were brilliant and it would be a huge shame if Abingdon lost this calibre of restaurant.
