Stayed two nights at the end of Cheltenham Week, Friday night it was packed solid, we had pub grub, which was very good and then settled into a corner of the Bar…10 out of 10 to David & David for both keeping us entertained at the Bar with their humour, witty banter and service - oh so very good! (So we went back from more on the Saturday night)
The room was above the Bar and we had received a call prior to our arrival that it could be quite noisy in the Bar on that Cheltenham Friday night (Thanks for the pre-warning - very good approach). Yes we could hear it, but we slept well from the drinks we had consumed….
Ah the drinks, now that is where it got expensive - you have been warned!!!
The room was great, the low beams and the sloping floor had us giggling after the night in the Bar, so we thought was good, well it is a very old place.
We toured the Cotswold for 2 days from Bledington, picking up the Romantic Road, which was really special.
Finally, the 4 Star rating we gave it was because the scaffolding was still up, which spoilt any photo opportunities to the outside of the Inn! (An evil necessity, but I hate turning up to really old building to see it covered!)More
