We popped in for an Impromptu dinner and have a lovely time. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. The food in my opinion, is some of the best pub grub we've had in a long time ! The chef was even willing to accommodation one of our more bizarre requests :-) The food is fab and its definitely value for money. Well worth a visit - I know we will be back

Met with a friend plus two dogs for lunch. We were well received and chose from a menu of popular choices. The food was freshly cooked and tasty and they proved a top up table drinks service as well. The well behaved dogs and well looked after too and received unsolicited doggy snacks and water. A true country pub situated in a charming village hamlet. GS

I was clearing my mother's house in the next village, with friends, and they offered to buy me lunch. I first went to the "C of C" many years ago, but remembered it so we went.
Staff were very welcoming, our dogs were very welcome and it was cosy and comfortable. And no piped music or tv! Yay!
The food was very nice, reasonably priced, freshly prepared and proper chips!

Definitely recommended.
