If you ignore the pubs Faringdon is now blessed with three coffee shops close to the market square.
This place serves the best coffee of the three, but is let down by its interior. Seating is found at the back of the shop overlooking the car park. It's a light but rather stark interior of around six tables, not helped in winter by a rear entrance door which lets in blasts of cold air. This room also has a large flat screen TV, which was playing a pop video channel for most of my visit, which I found quite intrusive. That had the good grace to turn off the TV when asked.
The food options are pretty standard for a low end British cafe. A bacon baguette was a good size but served in poor quality bread. Service is good, and the prices are probably the lowest of the three different cafes.
