“Great coffee, vibe (and I hear great things about the salon)”
Review of The Rookery

The Rookery
Ranked #14 of 33 Restaurants in Faringdon
Price range: US$3 - US$13
Description: The Rookery Coffee Shop, under new ownership from April 2017 by the guys behind Coffeesmith & The Cogges Kitchen in Witney, is a beautiful space on the ground floor of a converted coach works. Inside, we've had a contemporary revamp, whilst showcasing the beautiful original features of this landmark building in Faringdon. Specialising in fresh vegetarian food, salads, vegetable & fruit smoothies, toasted sandwiches, jacket potatoes, home made soups, our famous cinnamon buns, cakes including gluten & dairy free options, we also sell exceptional coffee made from our signature beans. We also have regular guest coffees from the very best artisan independent roasteries around the country. We sell Keep-Cups, books by local authors, coffee beans, ground to order, local eggs and whatever else takes our fancy. The Vale of the White Horse is steeped in history and we try to celebrate it through using & promoting local produce wherever possible. Upstairs is a separately owned, but complementary, organic hair salon called Celtic Magpie. We welcome everyone, including children and we are also dog friendly. There is free parking a 5 minute level walk away at Tesco or behind Budgens in the carpark.

“Great coffee, vibe (and I hear great things about the salon)”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

Stopped in with friends and our two small daughters for a Sunday afternoon cuppa and chat. The flat white was excellent! Bought some ground coffee to take home. Great staff, play corner for kids, lovely building, good community feel and obviously a portal to a hive of artistic activity. Highly recommended.
