“Never disappointed”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 April 2014

Introduced three friends to this pretty restaurant on Sunday and as always it came up trumps- a couple of the dishes weren't quite as good as I'd hoped but that was more down to personal taste than a lack of standard.
Three course Sunday lunch was excellent value and nice to see it wasn't just a roast on offer.
Service friendly but not intrusive and both the house red and white were very moreish
In my opinion a lovely restaurant in a lovely setting - give it a go.

“Good value midweek lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 March 2014

Have dined many times here. Never really disappointed. Monday to Thursday lunch set menu at very reasonable price. My only criticsim is that the menu does not change often and Rosti is served with almost everything. But still worth visiting particularly for a quiet lunch overlookinng the river. Weekends can be busy.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We change our menu's on a weekly basis so that we can offer seasonal, locally sourced ingredients on our menu. There are our classic dishes which remain as these are popular dishes as is our Rosti potatoes which is said to be our 'specialty'. We hope to see you again soon so that you can try some of our summer dishes.

“over night stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 February 2014

Just back from an over night stay at The Beetle and Wedge. Wonderful place to have a meal and overnight stay. The staff are 1st class and food is delicious, will return perhaps when the Thames is at a lower level

“Beetle and Wedge, Moulsford, S.Oxfordshire, UK”

This lovely place by the Thames has a restaurant called The Old Boat House which is currently providing its usual delicious and imaginative food, impeccably served, in spite of half the place being flooded with pumps busily removing water from cellars. Yesterday I was one of 16 guests at two concurrent birthday lunches which went ahead in spite of what must be daunting difficulties. Food was modern, beautiful to look at and much to be recommended.

“Diamond Wedding Anniversary Celebration”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 February 2014

My family and I have just had the most wonderful meal at the Beetle & Wedge Restaurant, the food is amazing nothing is too much trouble and they are happy to go through the menu with you.
My Daughter has to eat gluten free which I had notified the restaurant before hand, when we arrived and sat at our table the waiter brought out the bread basket and had the gluten free option in its own basket without us even having to ask. The attention to detail is second to none and we will definitely be revisiting.
At the upper end of the price bracket but most definitely work the money.
