We spent 6 nights from 23 June 2009 at the B&W at Moulsford-on-Thames.
Blessed with good weather for the entire time, we were really able to appreciate the superb location of this comfortable family run "gastro pub".
Literally right on the River Thames (it is on the Thames Path National Trail) with the ubiquitous wildfowl, boats of all shapes and sizes etc. The rooms, the food, and most of all the owners,Stephanie and Warren Musk and their fabulous staff, create an ideal environment for a great stay in a superb 5 star location.
The walk from the B&W alongside the river to Goring is about 2 miles and is worth a journey on a nice sunny day.
We found it very good value for money compared to the more celebrated(and very expensive)places along the Thames River between Henley and Oxford.
It is a relaxed, informal place (with only 3 bedrooms) with as good a staff as you will find anywhere. The food (young French chef) is excellent for the price(included an open bbq with meat and fish offerings).
I hosted a lunch for 13 people on 25 June and the food and service were excellent and the price very reasonable. Good wine list too.
Don't miss it.
