The hotel is lovely and set in the grounds of a farm. Room (we stayed suite 18) was clean and luxurious. Very unusual- my husband was speechless. British tapas we ate at lunch was fantastic on the terrace. The bar is very cosy. The hotel is set in a small village with not much around (non drivable) as far as I could see so limited activity. If you’re looking to eat, drink and relax with your partner then it’s a lovely setting.
The evening meal we had was very pleasant (English restaurant) we were on a set menu as part of our deal- considering the extent of the al a carte menu (which looked amazing) I think they could be more generous with set menu options given the price of deals. I think it would be better to go in late autumn/early winter as would be very romantic and you don’t mind whiling away an afternoon by a fire in a pub or lazing in a copper bath. Think it suites it more. The drinks are rather pricey at £12 for a G&T however they don’t skimp on measures...! More
