Friendly owners, we could use the shed for parking our tandem bike. Nice view from the window, quiet place to sleep.

“Ideal base for a getaway”
Reviewed 26 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We found this an ideal base for our planned visits in and around Oxford being a reasonable distance from the A40. Furnishings were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped with all the bits you'd have at home. Although we didn't need to use the microwave, we did use of the washing machine. Just the right place to return to and put your feet up after walking around the many tourist attractions this part of the world has to offer. The Three Horseshoes pub is across the road and if like me you like a decent pint, then you won't be disappointed. For more energetic visitors, the Pheonix cycle trail passes a stones throw away. My other weakness is chocolate and a visit to Rumsey's Choclatere in Thame provided the most mouth watering chocolate fudge brownies (other scrumdiddlyumptious delicacies are also available) either of us have ever tasted.

“Wonderfully Relaxing Weekend”
Reviewed 6 March 2014 for a stay in February 2014

A beautiful, well equipped, clean and welcoming annex building providing a great opportunity to leave the busy week behind and relax. Friendly and welcoming family who own the property, giving great advice on where to eat and visit. Beautiful views of the country from the building. Easy to find by car and travel around surrounding area. Recommended for couples who want to escape the fast life for a few days or week.

“Great base for walks in the country”

We had a lovely few days at this property. First floor apartment in the annexe of a large house. Very clean and recently furnished, with ample facility for self-catering, a great shower and an extremely comfy bed.

The centre of Thame is easily reachable on foot and we sampled some of the many excellent local walks. The village of Towersey and the surrounding coutryside are quiet and peaceful, yet you are never far away from a shop or a pub. Very friendly owners, who even provided apple pies for us on arrival!

“Village charm”
Reviewed 13 February 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Journeys: Easy access (40 minutes) to London and London Heathrow. Well situated - best of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire within a few hours drive from the cottage.
Thame: The largest in a clutch of quaint, English villages that surround the rental property Ample shopping in Thame but High Wycombe/ Oxford are within 30 minutes should you need big ticket shopping.
Old Lane Cottage: Annexed building. Clean, well heated. Adequately furnished for 3 adults( 4 at a stretch).Good parking on site. A half acre of garden for pre-schl kids to run around in. Quiet at night, and within walking distance of a friendly local pub.
