I am not a bus or public transport enthusiast, but I find local history interesting and the bus museum, was a place that I wanted to visit.I was not disappointed. The wife and I visited on a Wednesday,it is open Weds,Sat's Sundays, and the wife, found the displays interesting and nostalgic. The museum, has its own car park, free.Cafe, hot & cold drinks light snacks and next to it a gift shop, books models etc.The volunteers, very friendly and helpful and the vehicles are from as is to fully restored. There is also a display of vintage bicycles. Additionally there is Morris Motor Museum, classic cars built at Cowley,William Morris.Enjoyed the visit.

So much to see at the museum. Very helpful and informative team to answer your questiions. The best bit was going out for a ride in an old double decker bus..

It is a well laid out and detailed museum run by volunteers. I thought it was an excellent afternoon and i really enjoyed it, but this was not the feeling of all of my family. I guess if you are interested in public transport and/or the history of the Morris Motor Company it is a great and interesting afternoon. If you have no interest in these things then you will not enjoy your trip.

Situated in Long Hanborough next to the railway station, this museum has an interesting collection of buses and coaches, mainly from the Oxford area. There are a number of buildings and a workshop repairing and restoring vehicles. the main building contains a very interesting collection of vehicles in various conditions from "as found" to fully restored and even one with a cut-away section so you can see the construction details. There is a large collection of photographs and memorabilia from local operators displayed around the building which make interesting reading or browsing. On some days it is possible to ride on vehicles. There is also the Morris Museum with a small collection of cars and vehicles from this manufacturer. The café on site serves drinks and light refreshments. Well worth a visit.

We saw the museum signposted and as we had some spare time we we went along. What a surprise! nostalgic collection of buses and coaches as well as a fantastic display and story about the Morris factory. The displays and exhibits were done very professionally, were interesting and educational. I would urge anyone with a passing interest in the history of the UK motor manufacturing industry to visit
