I stayed here with my one year old and my friend's family for two days. From the initial booking enquiry to checking out we found all of the staff to be welcoming, polite, attentive and helpful. We were allowed to check in early and use the pool and leisure facilities well before checking in time. They rearranged rooms on our arrival for us to have interlocking rooms, provided travel cots and sheets without asking and made it possible for us to picnic in part of the grounds which were fenced in and safe for our little ones. Rooms were comfy and food was fine but the staff won us over completely with their customer relations - we all agreed we would stay here again!

Had not stayed here before, room adequate, had a good night sleep. Bathroom not up to standard water pressure terrible only a trickle, really bad. Door handle needed attention several different screws trying to keep it in place. Breakfast was a joke, never any glasses for juices, no dishes, kept asking for more. The amount of food in the buffet for a busy bank holiday was disgraceful, although the haddock and poached egg was ok. Staff were not at all experienced, the table next to us was full with dirty dishes for a very long time. Would not return Premier Inn better and cheaper.

I attended the Grease Dirty/Dancing night with a group of colleagues on Friday 4th April. What a fantastic evening this was. (We didn't stay over as we are all locals). The atmosphere was friendly and fun, the entertainment was first class and the food was amazing. The service was friendly and efficient too. It was great to be in a room full of people aged between about 18 and 65 and to see everyone having a great time. We'll definitely be back!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the restaurant if you are using it as a stopping off point on a journey along the A40. The range of food is fairly standard with no pretensions and the pricing is fairly modest. What makes this place stand out is its understanding of service and it's ability to ensure that they can provide a gluten free mix of dishes on the standard menu. I told the waitress that I was coeliac and without further comment on my part my bread roll was replaced with a fresh and rather tasty GF alternative. A good start!

I cannot comment on the hotel's other services but it struck me as being one of those sorts of places that grew up in the 80s to provide overnight accommodation and conferencing facilities for those using major arterial routes. If that resonates with past experience then I don't think you will be surprised/disappointed.

Stayed here just one night.
Good clean comfortable hotel. Good choice at breakfast.
Easy to find off main road, but not noisy. Helpful staff. Didn't get a chance to use facilities. But would return should I be in the area again.

We stayed for a last Christmas dinner and evening stay package in January 2014. The room was spotless and we used the spa facilities on arrival before dinner. Our tables were all ready and it all felt very special and the staff were excellent. After a lovely 3 course evening meal, we had a good standard of cabaret ....in the morning a fantastic full English with lots of extras. All in all - an excellent stay at witney four pillars with full credit to the staff.

Hubbie and I treated ourselves to the dinner bed & breakfast package for our weekend away. Our first impressions were that it looked very nice, and this was continued throughout check-in. The reception area was welcoming and clean and tidy and the check-in swift and efficient and the staff very friendly and helpful. We were allocated room 34, which was spacious and very clean. There was a good hairdryer and a plug in front of the mirror hurrah! Tea and coffee and biscuits were also provided. Our only niggles about the room were
1. The bathroom door handle was in dire need of oiling (no chance of a quiet trip to the loo in the night!)
2. The toilet is electric and not very efficient - it took at least 4 flushes to get rid of everything
3. The bed was a bit hard for my liking but that is my own personal beef - I like a soft bed
4. Personal pet hate - plastic glasses in the bathroom
5. Being blind as bats we found that the tv was too small for us to see properly from the bed
6. On the second night I was woken up every 20 minutes or so by a very strange noise, a bit like a jet engine landing on the ceiling - I can only assume it was the loo in the room above and we had someone with a very weak bladder staying in it!

The food was very good. We chose from the A la carte menu which had plenty of choice, small tip though, on both nights the chefs recommendation carried an extra charge! Again the staff were very friendly and efficient and the service was good. Breakfast was plentiful and we were never waiting or queueing.

We went with all good intentions of using the leisure facilities ...................... but only got as far as the bar!

The village of Witney is walk-able from the hotel and worth a visit, we were told it took 10 minutes, but plan for 20 to 30 minutes.

All in all a lovely weekend away and the hotel was nice - would we stay there again - Yes (not in room 34!) if we were in that neck of the woods, but there are so many other places to go to that it is unlikely.
